We came from Bans resort and it was like going to heaven. Nice spacious clean rooms with dark curtains. Excellent infinity pool with swim up bar that had well priced drinks. Food was really good and customer service was second to none. Would recommend to anyone.

The Montra Hotel formed the last stage of our trip to Thailand. We spent 5 nights here in complete relaxed comfort. The rooms were by far the best we had stayed in during our time travelling and we were more than happy spending quality peaceful time in that environment. Breakfast was good every day. The pool area and pool bar... More

I loved the pool, with the swim up bar and plenty of sun loungers. The reception area is quirky with a whole host of marine paraphanelia to interest. Biggest issue and my lasting memory is the mosquito issue- they are everywhere!! Lots in our room ( we asked for the room to be sprayed and then kept the bug spray... More

We stayed here for 11 nights, rooms large and clean, staff so helpful, in fact were were invited to the annual staff party, which was free and fun. Pool large, never had a problem to get a sunbed but it was quite when we stayed, restaurant food good, a little more expensive than other restaurant closely but not too overpriced.... More

Lovely hotel but not many guests over Christmas/ New Year and bar limited and closes at 10 pm even for guests. Food is good but service is not great, our table for 10 normally got meals at different times or not at all, Rooms are lovely and pool area very good, although aircon was very noisy. Right on the beach... More

Would have to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Shocking service from start to finish, old mouldy rooms, poor location and noisy karaoke parties right next to the rooms until 2am. Plenty of other choices on the island, take my advice and pick another.

They will say, "but we're on a tropical island, we do t have any power, blah, blah, blah, excuses, excuses, excuses". The fact is, there are numerous hotels and restaurants on the island that manage sustain a relatively stable wifi signal- Mantra isn't one of them. If you want to get away from all things Internet based, then this hotel... More

As others have posted the Montra is a large older style hotel with massive rooms, an impressive swimming pool, hard working and agreeable staff. Food is plentiful and usually buffet style. Prices are reasonable. It is quiet and removed from busier Mae Haad but still close. A short walking distance from Sairee Beach with all the amenities a visitor requires.... More

Lovely resort, lovely views, lovely staff. They cannot do enough for you, and it helps that it is wonderfully located. Arrive by pier, turn left then walk along the beach for five mins. Destination Montra, paradise:)
