Its a great hotel... special individual rooms... open concept and so near the see that you can hear the waves. Take care of putting inside the room sand and enjoy the wildness of the place. You may be found small insects.. but don't forget your in a wild island, if you don't what to find then don't go there. Is... More

We just got an upgrade to the "Makmai" rooms and they are simply amazing. You have your own big room, balcony and looks like a wooden house of your own.... :-) View is really nice and resort has it;s own private beach. Restaurant is good and food is amazing. On this island as such you can;t take any transport except... More

Stayed here back in May and thought I was trekking in nam. It's 15-20 from the wharf and it's through a bit of mountain, rock and jungle. It's remote with an amazing little beach which I loved. Had one of the better bungalows but still at night there's no lights or security and a 15 min walk back into to... More

We stayed here as we wanted to experience the backpacking style and thought some jungle time might be nice. First thing about the island I didn't realise- everythings by taxi boat. This hotel is the furthest out from the pier and town (only 15 min walk) but when you have bags, you need to take a taxi boat which is... More

This is the first hotel I've paid in my life and walked away just after check-in and booked new one. This place is in the middle of a jungle and Burmese village. No air con and tons of mosquitoes. Prepare to walk on the rocks, steep hills. No Security too apart from your lock. I checked Agoda reviews, Tripadvisor AND... More

We got a tiny room that our bags barely fit. No ac just a fan so it got pretty hot specially in the morning. The beach in front is very quiet and beautiful, if you want to remain there it's very good, however if you need to get into town often for eating or catching boats it's quite a walk... More

Hello, me and my partner have just returned from our holiday in Thailand. During which we stayed two nights at the Viking Resort on Phi Phi. Overall we were happy with our experience at this somewhat alternative hotel...which is situated well away from the hustle and bustle of Phi Phi's lively night scenes. The trek to the rooms can be... I love this place....yes they have a lot of steep steps, but if they didn't people would complain again that they have no view! Our room was really spacious (deluxe) and absolutely amazing. Great bathroom and balcony! Restaurant was good and the fried rice was the best ever! Private beach was small and really cute. Perfect place to stay at... More

We were a group of 6 and 5 got sick on Viking's free evening tasting menu. The worst part of it is that when we were too weak to walk down the extremely steep stairs (so steep, you need to hold onto a rope), we phoned reception in the morning to explain we've been sick all night and asked if...
