Honestly I really dont understand how some reviewers have rated the horrendous place any higher than terrible, did Miss Lee put you up in a different building??? It was dirty and oh so uncomfotable. We stayed in a room behind the reception block which you had to walk through, what could only be called a filthy dump, only to get... More

We arrived at this guest house to hear the fabulous Ms Lee shouting at a gang of backpackers for blocking her toilets with toilet paper. The room was silent, and it felt like we were back in school, witnessing the naughty kids getting shouted at in the headmistresses office. More and more people kept arriving and Ms Lee would strictly... More

Pros: -Cheapish -Close to the action -Rooms get "cleaned" daily Cons: -Moody staff. -Booked a double room. Got two singles pushed next to each other. -Beds were the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on in my life and I've been in a few police cells before. -Wi-fi in the common area is painfully slow -Ants in the shower

Booked on Booking.com for a 2 night stay at Ban thai. Hostile reception from the owner who wasn't friendly or welcoming. Payed the room fee of 1800 and deposit of 1000b when we were told that she had no room for us! We arrived no later than 2.30pm but after a sweaty trek with our backpacks to find out we... More

The guesthouse itself is located in the middle of don phi phi markets so that Nice, not too much noise Around at night as the clubs are on the beach. It was clean and neat! The shower is impossible to use without making everything wet though. Best thing about the guesthouse was Mrs. Lee who was a very helpfull and... More

The guesthouse itself was acceptable, but the owner was crazy and not very pleasant person (we are surprised by the positive opinions about her, maybe she has changed recently). She was acting as if the guests were her enemies - why run a guesthouse then? It was not possible to turn off the air conditioning in the night and it... More

the stay at banthai guesthouse is pretty average. With abit more research ad luck, shouldn`t be too hard to find another one. The good: location is slightly further in from the pier but its centralise to all the local eateries and drinking areas. The bad: the rooms are kina run down and have seen better days i`m sure. The lady... More

I booked this hotel before reading any reviews on TA and after seeing so many negative reviews I was very worried about staying here and even considered changing hotel before I even saw the room. But luckily I didn't as the hotel and the room were fine, basic but clean and were cleaned everyday. There is a bit of mould... More

What i really liked was mrs lee. She was a nice person. The rooms are good enough for the money since pp is expensive. Unfortunately there is mold in the bathroom but well the rest of the room was clean and they also do a cleaningservice everyday. Just open the window everytime you can and turn on the fan!

It was OK but there was lot more cons then pros. The location was good. We had no internet in our rooms and the one in lobby was poorly executed and was breaking everyday. No hot water and the cold one was not so clean. Staff was pretty cold and uninterested. Now I know there is better accommodation for that... More
