We stayed here four days in september. Our stay at the phi phi was not very memorable, due to few days of sickness, stomachache and cold fever, and the other days it was either raining or monsun windy. But the Gypsy Sea View Resort (new name, new building, though no sea view...) had nothing to do with it. We paid... More

Ok so this isn't the height if luxury but if you trawl through a few hotel sites you'll realise that Phi Phi is one of the more expensive islands compared to the others so you'll get less for your money. However, these bungalows are cheap, clean and comfortable. We stayed for three nights and the room wasn't cleaned once which... More

My partner and I stayed here for four nights to take an open water scuba diving course. Pros: The location was ideal..only a ten minute walk from tonsai pier, close to all restaurants, shops and bars. We had air conditioning as well as a tv. The staff were friendly and the cost was cheap Cons: The room was never cleaned... More

We stayed here for our entire time on Phi Phi and really liked it. The bungalows are shabby, but the newer rooms are very modern with good a/c and beautiful bathrooms. My favorite part of this place is the pool. Decent enough wifi. Something quite weird about the hotel is that they keep two very large caged birds. Huge animals... More

Booked through a website for the basic rooms with aircon. Paid 300baht to upgrade to the new rooms. Which are quite nice. Good things - The aircon was easily the best thing about the room. location, close enough to the action to easily walk, far enough away to not hear the music. Nice pool, good price, clean rooms, no bad... More

Gipsy has now 3 type of rooms. The old. Would not want to stay there. 1 dot. The bungalows in the garden. See pictures. Those are old and basic. And there is the new building with new rooms were we stayed. Had to pay 300 bath per room to be upgraded based on the Agoda booking. Good place to stay... More

The new building is called Gypsy Sea View Resort but you'd need x-ray glasses to actually see the ocean. The rooms are very nice and obviously brand new, the aircon units are a type I've never seen before and cool the room down incredibly fast. The beds are on the small size but are comfortable. The shower was great and... More

The TripAdvisor pictures need to be updated. This accommodation recently opened a new building that is very nice. I believe they are still in the process of opening new rooms and tweeking the resort. Rooms are modern with flat screen televisions, hot water, good air conditioners, fridges and nice beds. The complex is very modern and well designed. They must... More

It's about a 15 min walk from the pier which is a bit of a treck in the blistering heat but very easy to find. We stayed in an aircon bungalow which was decent. Beds were comfy had a TV and the aircon was great. Only thing it was missing was a fridge but we found if you took the... More

Bit of a trek from the boar to get to with heavy bags with totally worth it, felt like heaven after weeks of smelly orrid hostels. We paid 800 baht for one of the bungalows facing the pool. Room was lovely, aircon and vr worked perfectly and the pool was phenomenal. Would stay here again, in the main hotel as... More
