Me and my boyfriend took bongalow on rocks with ocean view, number 25. View was very nice. Bungalows are old and lots of cracks. No electricy all time, only limited hours. Cold water. Fan which work only high speed. First night we slept well, second night we get big rat on room! It came from toilet, shower water hole. After... More

Welcome to thailand past.Refreshing to stay in old school bungalows with a bit of charm. Remote and difficult to get to,but well worth it.Overlooking the ocean, with the sound of waves crashing, sends you to sleep. Rooms are basic,no tv-which is great,or fridge-which would have been good,no ac,but you do get a small fan. The staff are good, especially when Penn, the manager is... More

Great spot to unwind and enjoy the basics. Private beach, a little out of town but worth it. Staff very friendly, food is amazing and bungalows are basic. Power does go out for a few hrs a day, WIFI rarely works and slow, but your there to enjoy the beach and get back to basics. Recommend

I have been to Koh Phangan many times over the past few years, and although this was the first place I visited in Koh Phangan many years ago, I have given it a miss my past few visits to test out other newer places. I returned here in August, and was mesmorised by its beauty and peace and realized quickly... More

This is an ideal spot with lots of friends and family, as it has its own beach , in a lovely cove ,and everyone so......... friendly. We stayed 6 nights and we left the resort twice , once in a boat to the next beach on the island where you can scuba dive, if you wish, and once to the capital... This has been one of the highlights of all the places visited during my travels all over the world. I loved it! Far from the maddening crowd in idyllic surroundings, close to nature, with the sea at your doorstep, the sound of the waves when you go to sleep and to wake you up - total relaxation. We stayed in... More

This small beach although difficult to get to offers something amazing to those who make the effort to get there. Waterfalls, quiet beach and bungalows that are quite different from anything else I have come across in koh phangan. My bungalow was built into the rocks and I could just step outside onto the rocks to sit and watch the... More

I have been here several times and love it. This year we stayed on the rocks in a family room and they had been done up- really nice finishing touches. It was a busy time, but the staff were always sweet. It is a fantastic place for those of us who appreciate the natural side of life and need a... More

This is my favorite place to stay in Thailand. I've been there two times. I stayed in the beachfront bungalows. The are modernized and really nice. Very clean. The beach is very beautiful and not crowded. The food in the restaurant is awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful! I will go there again soon. C u there!

A belated review (still busy travelling!) but I loved my stay Mai Pen Rai! Secluded. Lovely beach, great beach front bungalow (spotless) and fantastic, (v friendly) staff and restaurant. I stayed a month on the island, on every beach, except Had Rin) and Mai Pen Rai was up there as a highlight. I first stayed on Ko Phangan nearly 20... More
