Not the greatest location, beach or breakfast. Basic but nice bungalows, beautiful pool area. Really bad wifi. Stay ifs friendly, but few speak English. A decent place and inexpensive stay that can be a okay base if you discover the island by scooter (which you should!).

The hotel is great and the pools are lovely. You get to use the sea kayaks for free as well and you can go over to a little private island! It's brilliant. If you're going to Phangan for the full moon party, which I'm guessing is what most people go for it's probably a bit far out! We had to... More

I can only speak for the standard rooms but they were very simple and not very fresh. The bathroom became wet every time you took a shower because there was no shower cabin. There were a lot of ants in the room. We only ate at the restaurant once since we didn't like it very much. But the staff was... More

Me & My girlfriend were very disappointed with this hotel. We stayed just the one night for full moon. 500 baht each person for the "full moon gala dinner" was nothing but a lie and we were told we could spend that amount on the basic menu which was provided. Also we got our washing done while we there, but... More

A couple of kilometres north of the busy tourist town and port of Thongsala, on a quiet stretch of beach, among the coconuts, is this collection of attractive beach bungalows, a few on 2 stories, with a pool and dining room facing the sea. Apart from the waves and the wind, there is silence. The bungalows are wooden, traditional Thai-style,... More

We recently stayed on a whim after driving in just to have a look. The whole resort is stunning in detail, rooms are lovely although maybe a bit dated. They offer you the choice of two enormous pools, one further back on the property with a floating bar, pool table, ping pong and lots of sun lounges. The other being... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel and our room was very basic, but the service provided from the staff was excellent. The location of this hotel is beautiful and the resort have a lot of potential. I would recommend the Grand Sea Resort.

Just about Average place.. We run into the place since during full moon party most hotels are full or have a exorbitant prices.. The exterior is good and so is the location.. However the rooms are below average, verty basic with minimum or no room cleaning... For room service we had to walk to the restaurant.. Bucket of ice was... More

A basic resort was what we were looking for, just for two nights. To enjoy the full moon party. Well... Not even basic was somewhere to be found. Unfriendly reception, dirty bathroom, an even more filthy bath carpet, no normal running water to take a shower, dirty plates at breakfast... And on top of the bill, "housecleaning" didn't close our... More

Stayed here for the October 2014 Full Moon Party.. Pretty bad experience from start to finish... - The first room we were allocated was tired and old (which we can cope with) but dingy too and up 3 flights of stairs (no lift). The main problem however was that it only had running water every now and then. We raised this... More
