We've been staying here for a couple of days now and it's absolutely lovely. The staff is more than welcoming and friendly and is always willing to help if you need anything. The best way to get around the island is to borrow a little automatic motorcycle which is the standard way to be mobile. The receptionist calls a woman... More

We are back at Grand sea resort. IT IS AS LOVELY AS I REMEMBER. WE room A1 it is roomy, clean good location to the pool, restaurant, ocean. We pick this hotel because the owners are just awesome, it's ran by a thai family. The mama, daughters, granddaughters I travel to get to know the culture, local people , and... More

The place looks nice on the surface with the exterior of the buildings looking really nice but the whole place is poorly maintained, the rooms/bathrooms aren't up to much at all and the breakfast is crap. Best to avoid as there's much nicer places to go for the same price.

Went here for 4 nights over new year, lovely looking hotel, nice pools very clean and rooms very grand. Right on a lovely beach. Manager was great and looked after us as we was a big group. Food in restaurants wasn't the best but I would stay here again.

Not the greatest location, beach or breakfast. Basic but nice bungalows, beautiful pool area. Really bad wifi. Stay ifs friendly, but few speak English. A decent place and inexpensive stay that can be a okay base if you discover the island by scooter (which you should!).

The hotel is great and the pools are lovely. You get to use the sea kayaks for free as well and you can go over to a little private island! It's brilliant. If you're going to Phangan for the full moon party, which I'm guessing is what most people go for it's probably a bit far out! We had to... More

I can only speak for the standard rooms but they were very simple and not very fresh. The bathroom became wet every time you took a shower because there was no shower cabin. There were a lot of ants in the room. We only ate at the restaurant once since we didn't like it very much. But the staff was... More

Me & My girlfriend were very disappointed with this hotel. We stayed just the one night for full moon. 500 baht each person for the "full moon gala dinner" was nothing but a lie and we were told we could spend that amount on the basic menu which was provided. Also we got our washing done while we there, but... More

A couple of kilometres north of the busy tourist town and port of Thongsala, on a quiet stretch of beach, among the coconuts, is this collection of attractive beach bungalows, a few on 2 stories, with a pool and dining room facing the sea. Apart from the waves and the wind, there is silence. The bungalows are wooden, traditional Thai-style,... More
