This resort is really amazing! You can have a villa with pool and seaview in the middle of the tropical forest, which is just incredible. The room itself is really nice furnished with Thai elegant and zen touch. The shower is open air, so you can wash yourself looking up at the forest and the sky :) The restaurant is... More

We stayed at Santhiya for 4 nights for a friends wedding. After being mucked around a number of times with our reservation my opinion on what would greet us wasn't that great. How pleasantly surprised I was! Amazing place, the best place I've stayed! The staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were so cosy and the views! 2nd to... More

We stayed here for 9 nights following a hectic 3 days in Bangkok, and what a welcome site! We arrived at the pier to take the hotel's own speedboat and was met by a member of staff from the hotel who took us to the Santhiya's waiting room, which was air-conditioned and we were given ice cold water to drink... We stayed here for five nights during our three week vacation to Ko Samui, Ko Phangan and Ko Tao. This resort was or favourite by far! We were picked up in Ko Samui by the speedboat service, very convinient. Great location, the resort is very nicely buildt, like a small village of wooden buildings in traditional Thai style surrounded by... More

For the first leg of our honeymoon we were looking for somewhere that had villas and private pools with everything we would want within the resort. The Santhiya didn't disappoint. From the very first contact the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. We booked the speed boat transfer which was a little expensive but worth it for the peace of... More

I have just come back from a week at the Santhiya with my family. I have really mixed feelings about this place. I booked it as an affordable alternative to the Anantara for my family of 5 (3 kids, aged 8, 5 and 5). The hotel is about 9 years old and built in a Traditional Thai Style... so there... More

Travelled here with a group of 6 friends. We arrived bedraggled after a flight and a bus and a boat journey and another bus and then a 4X4 truck... but what an amazing result after all that. We had the rooms overlooking the pool with the static boats. The water was perfect. The place was perfectly peaceful. We decided on... More

Also 3 nights over here, the (expensive) speedboat takes you over in half an hour, when you arrive the hotel looks really nice, you'll notice also immediately that the hotel is built up against a hill, so people don't liking stairs, avoid.. The check in was the worst we ever had on all out Asia trips, 2 reasons for that... More

We spent 5 days here as part of our honeymoon trip last April, 2014. The boat ride in was super nice and smooth. Driver was very friendly. Even this first transportation part is important since it set the tone for the rest of the stay :) The hotel grounds are undeniably beautiful. We arrived in the early evening. Check in... More
