If you like moldy rooms, very poor breakfast, bad & cold food (which was supposed to be warm), waterish cocktails, warm beer, a dirty pool, slow and most of the time a not working internet connection, a staff that looks bored to death... then I guess this is your place to be! If not? Save your money and look further... more

We were really looking forward to a nice relaxing break at the gorgeous looking Palace Lanta Resort after drooling over the paradise-like images of the clear blue swimming pool on the beach and after getting a great deal on a 5 night stay we thought we couldn't go wrong....How wrong we were! We arrived at the hotel and checked in... more

This is a brother hotel of much more expensive Lanta Palace which seemed to be nice beach resort. Palace Hill is not only located across the street from the Palace but also really on the hill, which is really frustrating because of the 350 meters climb on the stinky village road. Once you reach the point you have to actually... more

In a word - awful! Our room was unable to power a hot shower for more than 2 seconds without causing the entire power supply to trip. We asked the receptionist to fix it but he just showed us how to reset the trip switch rather than move us to another room - with a working shower. Basically, if we... more

When a place/resort/hotel do good advertising they have to deliver a good experience. This place has the worst people working there... 1. Had a drink at the bar in the evening, we paid the waitress, and the bartender came after to ask us to pay! we told him we payed to the waitress., he said ok. The next day the... more

This place is an absolute [--] hole. We stayed one night and cancelled the rest as it was so bad. It was too dangerous to leave the so called hotel. It was way too expensive for what it was... the accomodation was unclean, the shower had fungus all over it as well as a home for horrid insects. The pool... more

We saw posters and advertisments all over the place for this resort so we thought we would give it a go. The room had a terrible smell in it that had been covered with air-freshiner. And if that wasn't bad enough, it was infested with mosquitoes - we must have killed a dozen but still there were one or two... more

My husband and I stayed at Lanta Palace fro 5 nights from New Years Eve. It took over 8 hours to get there from Bangkok. The flight to Krabi was the quickest part of the journey. We didn't realise it would take hours by minibus and on two car ferries to get to the island. It was worth the trip... more

In November 2006 I paid 800 baht for a nice room with TV and air conditioning. The property is made up of bungalows, although some share common walls, so are actually duplexes. The restaurant had high prices for Thailand, and the food was mediocre. They had apparently left out all spices for fear of things being too spicy for foreigners,... more
