We arrived at what was meant to be the peak season, but the resort was almost empty - GFC and Bangkok protests were to blame, said the staff. We were surprised then, when they put us in a room in the far reaches of the resort, up many flights of stairs, and a breathless walk up all the hills, when... more

We stayed at the Rawi Warin in January and had a lovely time. As per a couple of the previous reviews, we too were put in a room that was high up and not convenient with small children. We asked to be moved straight away, which they did and we were moved to a villa on the ground floor not... more

We had booked a sea view villa at the Rawi Wari for four nights, on our arrival we were given a villa high in the mountain, and the sea view was there but there was also quite a lot of foliage outside the window. As we had two small children we didn't fancy having to walk up the mountain with... more

We had booked in advance to stay at the Rawi Warin, labouring under the misapprehension that it was part of the Langham chain. For various reasons we arrived 3 days early and were offered a room in sore need of some maintenance by one of the receptionists. The price incl breakfast was 5800 BHT which was well over the prebooking... more

Stayed here for 3 nights over Xmas. Paid £62/rm for first night then £114/rm for remaining via expedia.co.uk. Had 2 rooms close together (not interconnecting as requested) with great views thanks to the development being on the side of a hill. This was not a problem as there was a shuttle tuktuk you summon via telephone as/when required. It wasn’t... more

Let's start off by stating the obvious. This is NOT a Langham hotel. Yes, the Langham group has acqured it, but they have done no rebranding, so, upon arrival, you will find that you are actually staying at the Rawi Warin. There is nothing on the property to suggest that it is a Langham property. The impression I got was... more

This is a rather belated entry but my husband and I were on honeymoon when we stayed here. We had to get a boat over to Koh Lanta which went fairly smoothly. On arrival, we were given cool peppermint-scented flannels which were a heavenly treat in the stifling heat and also given a glass of water. Check-in was smooth and... more

Having visited Ko Lanta before and reading wonderful reviews we were thoroughly looking forward to paradise in Thailand, little did we know what would lie ahead. We had paid the extra that was required to arrive at the hotel via a speedboat, we were however surprised to find that instead of this we had a boat that was going to... more

This hotel is fantastic, we booked in one of the Villas as it was only £40 more for the whole week and a half of our stay and we were glad we did! The hotel is in the middle of Lanta island, I recommend renting one of the many scooters outside the hotel to get around it was 400 bht... more

Fantastic resort - probably the best attraction for the whole island itself, the perfect honeymoon for my wife and I. Superb view of the ocean from the resort on a hill, nice villa, very serene, friendly staff excellent service, good facilities, great to just relax at the deck chairs beside infinity pool to watch sunset over the ocean, movie theatre... more
