The value for money at this hotel is quite astounding, we had a lovely little bungalow with a sea view even from the bathroom. The sunset, as everyone says, from the pool is stunning. Only criticisms are that it is quite far from the centre of the beach, about 20 minutes which doesn’t sound like a lot but in the heat is hard. Also, you might have some gecko friends in the night. Lovely hotel, thoroughly recommend!

Booked initially for 4 nights. Bit apprehensive when dropped off as seemed to be quite a walk from main road but once checked in ( lovely welcome drink provided) and shown our room realised the views would make up for the walk. Room itself was a bit dark as main window was right where everyone walks by so blind kept down - not a problem when balcony door was open though. Copious amounts of hot water and good air con. Fridge quite noisy at night so we used to unplug it!! Be aware also to bring earplugs if a light sleeper as the call to prayers by the local mosque does carry up to the hotel - we actually got used to it and did sleep through it eventually. Absolutely stunning views from our balcony with the sun setting directly ahead of us. Pool area with numerous loungers directly below ( pool towels provided) Yes you get geckos in the room but this is island life so no problem at all. We hired a moped from down on main road (150bht) so much easier to explore the island and to get down to the beaches- although still only a 15 min walk down to nearest beach if you want to walk. Close to lotus express and 7-11 and lots of eating places close too with many on the beach at night also. Note ...not really a late night place so lots of eating places closed by 10.00. / 10.30pm. Loved it so much we extended our stay by 2 nights and then a further 2 nights ( although did have to change rooms for the last 2 nights - not a problem and they helped us move our luggage. Turns out a much lighter room as windows front AND back and right next to the pool. Staff so helpful and welcoming, totally managed to switch off and fully relax which is what we were looking for! will def stay here again if returning

Located up in the hill (A bit of a walk up), this place is worth the climb. We loved our stay there. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. It has a great view of the sea. We also got visited daily by monkeys and got to see tokay geckos. The only downside was we booked with breakfast and the restaurant was being redone. Upside, we found great places to have breakfast. Thanks for making our stay wonderful.

Room - our first room's A/C wasn't working well, so they moved us to another room. It was clean, spacious, had great A/C and hot water. Keep in mind that this is not a 5 star resort, so there are a few minor things, such as the bathroom getting very warm later in the day, and lizards do get into the room (though that's more common than not around here anyways I suppose) :) Location - Located up a hill, it's about 5 mins walk to the main road, where you can find various restaurants and convenience stores (Tesco Lotus express, 7 Eleven, etc), and about 10 mins walk to the beach. Staff - Staff are friendly, profesional and helpful. They quickly addressed the only issue we had during our stay (the A/C not working great in the original room) without any trouble. The pool is wonderful, and there are many lounge chairs and umbrellas available.

Great value for money. Cleaness, location and staff are brilliant. They arrange everything for you and help with whatever you need to make your trip more enjoyable. Have the best tips for beaches nearby and restaurants. Emy really cares about her guests and their comfort. Transfer from hotel to Holy Cow restaurant is highly recommended it and worth it!

The resort is very basic but absolutely worth the money. Situated a little bit uphill overlooking the ocean. The staff is very friendly and I had a excellent time to relax. You should rent out a scooter to get around the island and the nearby restaurants & bars. There is also a small beach strech not too far from the hotel. I'd come back for sure.

The staff is very friendly, helpfull and speak perfectly english, we even got a free homemade drink at the pool. The pool is lovely with a great view, good sunbeds. Two choices of both great breakfasts. Now a year later we still talk about the deliscious potatoes now and then :) For diner we recommend the burger 'holy cow'. From the bathroom window you have a spectaculair view. From there and at breakfast we saw monkeys. It's more up in the jungle so further from everything, but with a scooter/moped it is okay. The only thing we find a bit scary was the fact we had the last bungalow (on the highest poles) and it was moving a lot.. we woke up from the neighbours one night.. It kind of gave you the feeling it could all crush down. Also are the rooms a bit dark, not so cosy. But everything else was perfect!

Cheap hotel, very clean spacious room, good aircon and there was a fan also. The fridge didn't work very well (nothing was cold out of it!), bathroom wasn't very well ventilated so it always smelt musty. The receptionist Amy was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The main pool was really green, the kiddies pool was blue and more inciting so we took a dip in that, as did others. We rented a scooter from the hotel and went down south to some beaches but there's a nice beach and lots of restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Overall it was worth the money and we would go back. But they should clean the pool water!
