Although Amantra looks fine at a glance, and similar to a lot of the other places along the coast it was not. The owner was rude towards all of us and sexist towards my female friends. Our three person room, already fairly expensive, didn't have three beds (that cost extra). The restaurant was boring, slow and downright bad. Service was... More

The Amantra was well worth it. Located on a beach with a pool and bar overlooking the ocean, this hotel is a decent option if you don't want to break the bank and want to be on the beach. It's tucked away from the main action in Koh Lanta so every night is mellow. Half of the main rooms are... More

We stayed here during a dive holiday in Jan 2015. After a long car journey from Krabi airport, we arrived and checked in. Our sea-view room was at the new 3-storey concrete building about 100m from the reception area. The pool didn't look inviting as the water looked cloudy and not too clean. However there was a nice open porch... More

This resort is in a beautiful location. I agree with all other reviewers that a beach front villa is a MUST. We too booked thro agoda at a "bargain" rate to find the 'deluxe garden villa' was more dingy than deluxe. After negotiating a beach villa at an extra cost of 1000 baht per night we were happier. The staff... More

We stayed there in February 2012 during our first stay in Koh Lanta. Surprise number one was, that our Superior sea view room showed up to all the way at the end of the resort in a 3 level concrete building. Sea view was, but just from one single place in the room you could see a glance at the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, we absolutely love the place. Its peaceful and the beach is awesome. Clean and quiet. We loved their outdoor pool as well. It's simply amazing. Only thing that was slightly on the downside was their room. We were out at the garden view which is on the building block. Our view... More

Firstly I think I must have got a bad deal with this hotel. I booked through Expedia/Agoda can't remember and paid £65 per night. I booked in September for our December stay. It is absolutely NOT worth this money. Maybe £20 per night and I would have a slightly better view on the hotel. We got a 'garden view' room... More

Expedia sells this hotel at a super-special-non-refundable price: there is a reason as you will be assigned the most awful room of the entire 'resort' but you will be shown the pictures of higher standard and price rooms!!!! The room was a horrible, motel-like bedroom at the ground floor of a run-down building behind the bungalows. It is very bare,... More

At first we were extremely disappointed with our room. We booked a superior room with a sea view and we got a room that was next to a building site and had limited views. I soon complained and we had no choice but to upgrade at our own cost. The Manager told me this was at a discounted rate but... More

Amantra Resort is a quiet small bungalow hotel at the southest part of Klong Nin Beach. I had booked a bungalow based on the images on the hotel's as well as the travel agency's website and when arriving it turned out to be something else I've expected. The bungalow was in the garden (room 209) of which I was aware,... More
