Having visited the area previously on a day excursion from Bangkok, we decided we would like to spend more time there and see more of the temples. We used directrooms.com who we have used successfully previously. This time their recommendation was poor but I'm noy sure there is too much choice in Ayutthaya! We couldn't fine many recommendations for hotels in Ayutthaya and eventually chose the Woraburi Hotel based on their website, particularly the photos of the rooms. We had booked a Junior Suite and on arrival early in the morning were pleased to be able to check in. We were shown to quite a basic room, but weariness from our trip prevailed... more
