This was our most disappointing guesthouse stay during our Thailand trip. The pictures on the internet were much better than the reality. The place has great potential, but it is in a mess. There are 2 buildings - an old converted school (where we stayed) and an old teak house. The rooms in the converted school are very plain and... more

We stayed only one night. There where some wooden buildings (we stayed in one of them) and there were also some bungallows. There is a small dirt track from the street to the buildings and the bungallows. The street is not noisy and the whole place is very quiet. The price was 450 THB double room with fan and 650... more

The house itself is very old built by the owners' father, and is charming on the outside. Inside the rooms could use new beds that don't sag and a coat of paint. The owner is nice enough though getting on in years and therefore forgets many things and needs many reminders. The rooms are very inexpensive, but be prepared to... more

We arrived very lately in Ayutthaya and all our choices of guest houses were already full. So we arrived at the Baan Lotus Guest House without any reservation and we needed a room for three people. Then we meet Kosoom, the manager, at the office. She received us like the same way she would receive old friends. She was really... more

This was the cheapest hotel we stayed at in Thailand. It was one of the most charming though. The wooden floors, the traditional building, the lotus pond and above all the friendy owner made this guest house a relaxing experience. Be prepared to walk barefoot everywhere, as this is the will of the owner! Be prepared to listen to nature's... more

Spent two nights here whilst travelling around Thailand and it was one of the cleanest and best places we stayed in. We didn't book ahead but we arrived just after lunchtime, and got a room with no trouble at all. The lady who runs it with her sister is absolutely lovely and she speaks very slowly to make sure you... more

This was really a friendly, clean and peaceful place in Ayutthaya. The rooms were clean and o.k., the garden really nice for a cup of coffee. The lady, that runs the guesthouse is a bit confused, but very helpful. She asked me about 100 times for my room number, but helped us a lot... more

Very nice place with character. Spacious rooms with anti-moskyto nets at windows. If you do not mind early starts it is perfect place to stay. The lady who runs the hotel is very helpful. In fact she was the best English-speaker we came across in Thailand. Do not hasitate ot join the Ayutthaya tour they organise. It is good value... more

This guesthouse provided good sized, clean rooms and bathrooms in a nice setting by a large lotus pond (not too mosquitoey), which is nice to sit by. There is a good (open air) communal area by reception where you can pay a few bhat for a simple breakfast, and there are fridges with cold drinks and beer for sale. There... more

This place has a lot of character. Not expensive and the owner is super friendly and helpful. It's off the street and sheltered from road noise, but I agree with others that the wildlife sounds are plentiful. Stay here if you are a morning person and like roosters and jungle birds. Very nice, large pond out back filled with lotus... more
