I cant understand why this guesthouse has any negative reviews. Super friendly, great location, small but clean...and soooo cheap. We payed 300 baht for a two bed room. Try the Pad Thai in the restaurant.yummmm

It doesn't get any cheaper than this around Ayutthaya. Plus the place is clean, welcoming. The owner is kind and helpful. You can rent a bike from him or his neighbors, be provided with a map and advices on which temples to visit (there are over 50 wat in the city). There is a nice restaurant-bar 20 metres away and... Cheapest hostel around but the convenience to get around Ayutthaya is great. Can rent a bike, book tours etc within walking distance. The location is great because Ayutthaya is a small town so has everything locally; it has the comfort of co-travellers all on the same street (road is full of guesthouses) but not too far from local food markets,... I go to Ayutthaya reasonably often and this is my preferred choice. The Guesthouse is clean and comfortable. It is old, with big solid tables in the communal area. Downstairs rooms with aircon are the nicest. Upstairs more basic, but still clean and comfortable. I have had sewerage smells, as noted by others, in the past, but not on my... More

Here you can get real low budget rooms. The hotel is located in Naresuan Road just where most of the other hotels are. The owner is not the friendliest one, but if you are friendly then you can get along well with him. All rooms have a shared bathroom which is located right in the central aisle. The rooms are... I stayed there for 2 nights, it was recommended by Rough guide, the owner has a restaurant just 2 houses further up and expect you to eat and drink there, it was more expensive than the other restaurants nearby and the amount and quality of the food was not very good. The place itself has had his best years, it... More

We didn't actually stay in the rooms of this guesthouse because we'd already chosen one down the road, but we have been in ayuttaya for 4 days and almost every morning we have come here for breakfast (pancakes with mixed fruit) and twice for dinner. Every time the food has been lovely and the staff even nicer. It is run... More

Just spend 3 nights here. It's a nice small guest house with a very friendly owner that will help you in any way he can. I spend 350 baht for a room with shower and toilet included. There are also shared bathrooms and toilets depending on what you pay. If you are a backpacker this is a very nice place... More

this is more of a backpackers' accommodation. very simple and basic. stayed in a fan-room with shared bath during off-season. the price was super cheap and there were hardly any boarders around. they've electronic locks at the main gate; so can come in and go out conveniently. even had wi-fi!!!

We stayed here when we were intending to view PU inn next door and were approached by the owner about his hotel. He didn't make it clear that his room was the Ayuttaya Guesthouse at first as we had assumed he worked at PU. Instead, he showed us print outs of bad tripadvisor reviews for PU to dissuade us from...
