It's not easy to find a decent hotel in Ayutthaya (or in many of the provinces for that matter). This is a large hotel that can easily cater for (and did) tour groups, conferences, very large functions, etc. Rooms although dated and facilities of a high standard. Comfortable bed and large bathroom. Everything worked... except the Wi-Fi which was down... More

I am a solo, female traveler. This hotel was somewhat rustic but clean. I had a room on the top floor at the end of the hall. Each building has outside entrances. The grounds are beautiful. I was only here one night. To get to town, it is a short taxi ride but not expensive. I would not recommend walking... More

Rooms are well-furnished, clean and comfortable. We had one on the 8th floor facing away from the river (and city), which was nice and quiet. Wifi worked well, and the breakfast buffet was good, although seemed to close quite early (we went after 9 and they were packing up). The only real negative was the location. It doesn't look very... We went here for dinner one night because we had difficult finding a nice place to eat - the entrance and lobby are very good with very attentive staff. The restaurant was empty apart from a few people watching the final of a Malaysia v Thailand match ! The food was very average - wouldn't go back there again -... More

We got two “luxury” rooms on the 8th floor. They were clean and well maintained, even though the building is getting old. The rooms were adjoining, with a view of the river and the bridge. Thinking of the main attractions in Ayutthaya, this hotel is on the wrong side of the river. It is very near the railway station. One... More

Rooms are clean, the service is correct. The hotel is not very new but well maintained. Breakfast buffet offers a large variety of food, from fried eggs, beacon, toasts, cereal, Thai dishes, salads, you name it, etc. Wifi signal is very good, each floor is equipped with a dozen of repeater. Room are equipped with flat screen TV (32inches?) and... More

We stayed here for 1 night during our tour which is about right for this property. The lobby area and restaurant is clean and up to date. The rooms (we were on the 7th floor) could use a refresh and a good cleaning. I would put this hotel on par for a dated hampton inn type room. Wifi was strong... More

Stayed on grouptour. Comfortable rooms with everything working, clean and everything working. Breakfast good but waiters not overly friendly. Did not use the pool. Nothing at all to do in the vicinity of the hotel.

The Krungsri River Hotel is located outside the centre. It's not a very lively area but there is enough transportation available to get you anywhere in town. The rooms are decent. Go for a massage and you'll forgive them that the health club is dated and the pool area is a bit dull. Breakfast is good. Dinner could be better.... More
