Lovely hotel 2 blocks from the train station. We got a flash deal for the night which made this a very good choice. Our room was comfy and had a view. No free wifi except for the lobby. Only spent one night here but had a great Thai snack in the evening. The coffee shop had karaoke going - pretty... More

This was a business trip, so I can't speak to the historic zone and attractions. This is a very pleasant, large hotel. Like many Asian hotels, they have used an amazing amount of stone - floors, stairs, bathroom walls, everywhere - so that becomes a dominant impression. It is clean, reasonably well maintained. The staff are friendly, helpful and were... More

The hotel is by the river and close to the train station (10 minute walk). But it is far from the temples on the other side of the bridge. But tuktuks are waiting on the street. The hotel has four restaurants. Some very expensive for us. The restaurant at the back has a beautiful terrace on the river.

This is an older hotel, with spacious rooms but two small elevators that don’t allow for many people at once. Rooms and bathrooms are fine, but a bit dated. Like all hotels in Thailand, you have to leave a key in the little device that turns on the electrical in the room, or you have neither lights nor air conditioning.... More

Considering the tariff this hotel is moderately good. Being situated in the ancient capital, krungsri river hotel seems to be quite old property built in large scale. The tariff is quite reasonable as its foods. The best part I loved the riverside deck restaurant. A perfect place for long hangout. The hospitality is commendable. The interior is a bit shabby... Our travel group occupied 6 rooms in this hotel for one night. The hotel has the feel of a business hotel. Rooms are not large but are nicely sized and neat and clean. Has a decent bathroom, and our room was on the 8th floor with a nice view of the river. Nice pool area, nice lobby area, efficient and... More

I stayed here as a part of a guided tour for one night. Our room on the 6th floor was nice and had a view of the river, which we really enjoyed. We loved sitting by the river in an extremely nice garden oasis at the back of the property. The pool looked really nice, but we didn't have time... More

Spent a night in Krungsri River Hotel. Very nice, classy hotel. Big room with 2 beds. Good pillows. Perfect arrangements of bath supplies. Staff was very friendly. Great restaurant downstairs with one drawback - an elevator stops at the ground floor and you should take stairs down to the restaurant. We had buffet dinner and breakfast there. Great selection of... More

We stayed here for just one night as part of an escorted tour. Our room had two type of water bottles - one free, one chargeable. When going down to breakfast we noticed a lot of hotel staff hanging about near the rooms, which seemed odd. When we returned, we noticed a chargeable water bottle had been opened, and an... More

As others have noted, this is a very dated hotel and could use a top-to-bottom renovation. It is workable if you only need a place to sleep for a night while exploring Chai Watthanaram, Wat Maha That, etc. Room was large but with old furnitures. How old? How about a 13" CRT for a TV old. The bed is probably... More
