We stopped over for a night at the Tamarind, hoping the good reviews we read were true. And it was. This charming place scores highly on the location. Bang opposite the Ayutthaya complex entrance, it is tucked into a quiet little bylane. Hugely affordable and excellent value for money, there is little to complain. For the records, the little niggles... More

Great location close to the ruins. We were able to rent bikes for 50 Baht per person for a full day and when one got a flat tire they replaced it. The raised patio is a nice place to relax after a long day of touring temples. We stayed in a private room with its own bathroom which was clean... More

Very reasonable guesthouse with a good sized room on the first floor with balcony and garden view, comfy bed and functional bathroom. Hot water available for tea and coffee all day and friendly staff who can arrange transport and trips. Beside the Historic Park, with a cafe for breakfast round the corner and a couple of evening eateries, but definitely... More

Awesome location close to the ruins, comfortable rooms and beds, bikes to rent and helpful staff. We could have stayed longer-and great price too!we stayed as a family of four and would highly recommend this guesthouse. Clean rooms, tea service down the hall-great stay overall!

Located down a small laneway opposite the Historic Park containing Wat Mahathat, Tamarind was a great low cost option. Run in a highly professional way, staff went out of their way to help and advise us. The house is an old teak house with great character and a funky feel. It has all the conveniences you want (air con, WiFi)... More

This guesthouse is very quaint, and the staff is amazing! Very friendly, very helpful, and providing everything you might need or ask for. Nonetheless, if you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you, as I found out. The guesthouse is entirely made of wood, and every movement coming from other rooms will wake you up... cannot... More

Staff at the tamarind are really friendly and will help you in every aspect of your stay and journey. The location is great, the guesthouse architecture is so surprisingly laid out - a funny mess yet with a certain charm! The only drawback is that most rooms have no view or even no windows and the terrace is close to... More

Stayed one night in dark ground floor room. Clean and comfortable but no natural light as window faced wall of building next door. Quirky seating area on wooden platform upstairs and free tea and coffee, nice place to relax. Main problem was the loud noise coming from the restaurant next door which ruined the relaxing vibe. Tip - 5 mins... More

we stayed in this guesthouse with two younger childs and were very happy with our choice. It's an enchanted place with nice rooms and the proximity to the center of ayuttayah was perfect for our stay.

We stayed in the family room, it was big, there are 2 beds on the upper loft area, nice decor, clean bathroom, a small fridge and good AC. It is easy to arrange boat tours, tuk tuks, etc. from reception. There is a small but nice little raise platform outside to drinks beers and hangout. Highly recommend!
