We stayed at Pludhaya to recover from two weeks travelling in Vietnam and Cambodia and to recharge our batteries before the long flight home. It is a charming and very intimate place with accommodation for fewer than 20 people in individual, beautifully decorated Thai style chalets around a lake plus a couple on the riverside. It is as other reviewers... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a bicycle tour of central Thailand. I don't understand the negative reviews that other have written here. We found the staff to be very warm, friendly, and helpful. The location is also lovely, the spa services were great, and the meals were tasty. It is true that the hotel is located... More

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon. The location isn't in the centre of town, but that is part of the charm. The outstanding service is what impressed us the most. Someone even came with a torch to take us back to our room after dinner (which was perhaps not needed but a lovely touch)! The manager was fantastic... More

This place is miles from Ayutthaya or any other attractions or restaurants, and tuk tuks to town cost 150 Baht (about $US6 each way). We booked for three days, but left after two as my travelling companion got food poisoning, so had to get to a hospital in Bangkok (we managed to get a refund, thanks to Booking.Com flexing some... We arrived a little after the floods had subsided. Quite honestly the resort was opened a few days too early.....another week to complete the necessary refurbishment was necessary. That said the resort is quite beautiful. Small and intimate, without overlooking other villas. The room was clean, well presented and exceptional when compared to other hotels in Thailand. Food was al... More

There needs to be something special to attract tourists out of the town but our experience wasn't special. I did not receive a reply to my internet booking request (they promise 24 hour response but I'm still waiting) so I had to telephone, on the day, to check if accommodation was available, they dealt with my 'phone call efficiently but... We fell in love with this small hotel set around a beautiful pond with fountain. It was peaceful, beautifully landscaped, and had a feeling of grace and welcome. It is a wonderful change from the large, corporate hotels that seem to abound in Thailand. Very personal and inviting. We would highly recommend Pludhaya.

This is a great place. Like others, the first impression was not 100% reassuring but within about 5 minutes we knew we had made a great choice. And after 2 days we felt like family! Where do I start? Great food ( amazing green curry and even though it's not on the menu the red curry was delicious!) Great location...you... More

At first when I was taken to the resort, I was feeling a little unsure about where I was going because we were passing through rice fields outside the city to get there. When we arrived, I realized that we weren't far from the city at all and just far enough to be in a very peaceful location. The resort... More

Our bed was very firm- firmer than we like. But everything else was perfect. Our villa had a large shower room, a separate room with toilet and sink, a large bedroom and a lovely balcony overlooking a natural pool with a fountain. The staff worked diligently to make our stay perfect. When there were fireworks not visible from the dining... More
