Why did we stay in Bassi? Once we were in the hotel we asked ourselves that question. We were the only guests, so did get the best room (nr1) after being shown other rooms. We were greeted by the manager, who was not welcoming at all and gave the impression he did not care and also wondered why we had... More

We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed here in January 2014. The rooms were nice with comfortable beds and hot water. The current royal residing in the fort was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for the kids. Where the hotel falls down is with the manager who has the personality and customer focus orientation of... More

This is a classic run down heritage hotel in a dump of a town. Food and facilities were rather basic. Some staff were helpful. Best experiences were the opportunity to talk to other guests - run of the mill people dont seem to stay here - met a Russian nuclear power engineer and a supreme court lawyer from Delhi. The... Nothing palace about the place. Be ready for horrific surprise after reaching the place. A horrible place to stay. A joke in the name of a heritage place. Place is very far from the fort and not a penny worth to travel so long. Bad taste of food, filthy rooms with no hot water. No travel help desk. In all... More

The place is a old haveli converted into a hotel. The place is 25km from the Chittaurgarh and takes about 45-50 minutes drive on the highway. The place is huge and on the date of our stay, we were the only guest in the hotel. The place is simply great but very badly managed by people who have very little... More

We first came here 9 years ago and loved it. Beautiful ,spacious and clean rooms. It is run very much hands-on by members of the royal family who will often sit and chat with guests. They are very proud of the hotel and village and will do all they can to make your stay comfortable. It is a fairly small hotel,and... More

This is an old palace converted into hotel. This is the best place to stay in Chittaurgarh according to me. However you will need a car to go around as this hotel is in Bassi village almost 20 mins drive from chittaurgarh station. Though all is worth as you will keep on crossing the chittaurgarh fort to reach bassi. It... More

This property is a Haveli converted / upgraded for Hospitality Industry. It is in Bassi, a Midsized Village off the Highway from Chittaurgarh to Kota. The food here can be customised and is day better than any you can hope to find in Chittaurgarh.

More of a Haveli than a palace. Right inside a Rajasthani village. Can set up base to explore in and around Chittorgarh. Clean, no frills hotel (or can say home stay?) set in a tranquil environment, Bassi fort stands beside as a mute backdrop.
