Spacious room. Very nice grounds and kept up well. Everyone was friendly. The restaurant was beautiful with a very tasty buffet. Be sure to visit the bird sanctuary and give it plenty of time to enjoy. I was only there for under two hours. Could have used at least twice that.

We are a couple who wanted to visit this property for lunch and as we prefer making reservations hence we tried calling in advance. Unfortunately to our surprise no one picked the phone (both numbers), so we were left with no option but to go without reservation. When we arrived at the property and spoke to the manager (Mr. Dinesh)... More

Very beautiful palace hotel which (we think) consists of 2 parts: old palace/hotel and new hotel. We slept in a room in the old palace/hotel. Room in itself wasn’t too luxurious, but the palace atmosphere made more than up for this. Food: very good (though just not excellent), staff: excellent. And we really recommend going bicycling in Keoladeo NP, great... More

As rigthly said by ritwick, it's no where a palace. It's just a old property named as palace. If you've been to good heritage hotels in Rajasthan, you'll be disappointed here. It seems they only want foriegn guests than domestic guests. The rooms are ok, quite spacious in Laxmi Vilas, but not at PAR 4 star hotels. My stay with... More

First of all, this is not a palace in true sense. This is by, Indian standards, a Haveli. Thats why locals call it Kakaji ki Kothi, Kothi means Haveli. This was built in 1857 and its very well maintained. Laxmi Niwas Palace, built in the same complex was built in 2008. Check in was a surprise. There were no computers.... More

I, personally, love these converted palaces and Haveli as hotels with all their history and charm. In my view this is one of the better ones with charming decor, genteel courtyard and spacious rooms much like they might have been when the palace received its royal guests. The hotel may lack some amenities (for example hot water is only available... More

Sadly we only stayed one night and so did not get to really lap up all the luxury offered by this sumptuous establishment. Imagine a carved wooden bed, very comfortable, a chandelier in the room, paintings, huge mirror .... This palace is still partly the residence of a Maharaja and is suitably restored. The approach is through beautiful gardens with... More

We spent a night here during our tour of India's Golden Triangle and were very impressed by the historical majesty of the place. It was an honour to be welcomed so warmly to such a prestigious hotel. We had room 106 leading directly off the main courtyard which had twin beds (extremely firm mattresses, so be warned !), a luxurious... More

Very nice place to stay , staff is very courteous and always ready to help. Rooms are spacious with very ethnic furniture and feel. The courtyard , pool area are very neat and clean and well maintained. They have a magnificent dinning area which is truly breathtaking. They had other recreational activities as well , with ongoing puppet shows ,... More
