We stayed at this heritage hotel for 1 night during a tour through India with On The Go Tours (Travel Inn Tour Company). The hotel is well presented and has a scenic pool, restaurant and nice garden areas to relax the afternoon away from the hustle and bustle of India! (+) Positives + The hotel is a masterpiece to view... More

We came to eat dinner here as a mixed group of foreigners and Indians. They at first wanted to bar entry to my husband because he is Indian until they saw the rest of us white foreigners. This was very off-putting to say the least. Service was a bit slow and uncoordinated but the food was very good. More

Spent a lovely relaxing holiday at Laxmi Vials palace. The rosegarden is even more fantastic than last time I came to Laxmi Vilas Palace. I also had an excellent sightseeing in Bharatpur - no tourist wherever I went and not even in the Fort that is well worth seeing.. During my 4 days I also went to Deeg, Agra with... More

Bad experience started right at the begining of the interactions. The bell boy doesnt bother to take entire luggage. We asked them to wait for some more luggage but they just walked off and we had to pick up rest of the luggage to my own. The staff is very bad and rude in terms of behaving with the guests.... More

The exterior and the dining room are fantastic to look at. Our room(s) was huge and clean. The bedding, towels, etc. could all use updating. Hot water was available from 5-9 am/pm. Space heaters were provided. Based on its history and the family photos and paintings on display, it's a really interesting place to stay. In the evening, we enjoyed... More

Hotel has a real regal ambience. People were cooperative and friendly. But now gives you the heritage status feel, a few conveniences like refrigerator and tea/coffee maker in the room will make it a dream destination. Due to off-season, few services like massage was not available. No much choices in the restaurant but the taste up to the mark. There... More

The palace is excellent especially the old part of it which is my personal favourite. I have been using this hotel for over three years now and am extremely satisfied with the food and the service. The prices are slightly on the higher end but it worth it. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. By far... More

Looking at my photos now I'm home the Laxmi Villas Palace looks stunning and my friends have cooed over the lovely room and facade. However, the place lacked a little atmosphere. There was a band on in the evening and fires to sit around but it somehow felt a little sterile. Our room was big and the bed was comfy,... More

We travelled to Bharatpur in the first week of January (2012). Our trip as usual was a last minute plan and we were lucky to get this beautiful property at a reasonalble price. Laxmi Vilas was a beautiful experience, the place is beautiful and really nice people running it. We were amazed with the upkeep of a 100 year old... More

Another hotel I stayed in (for just one night) as part of my 10 day India package. Like the title says, I'd like to have stayed for more than one night. Presumably this was once a maharajah's palace. If not, it's a very good impersonation. The only facilities I managed to experience were the bars (one of them is al... More
