So this property is beautiful but managed by morons. Staff is not trained and certainly didn't know how to speak to a lady. miscommunication between night & day staff led to huge delay in checkout.BAD

We got back from this palace last evening. The very first view of this palace, after the opening of the humongous royal gates, is breathtaking. Just standing at the reception tells you what is waiting for you inside. From the floor to the roof, EVERYTHING is drenched with royalty and grandeur. The moment you enter the room, you realise that... More

Visited this property after a search on Trip advisor with my family. As you enter it's like your troupe taking over the king's palace. Awesome experience. Courteous staff, rooms give you royal tag. Very close to the Bird's sanctuary and Fateh pur sikri, you can club your visits.Food and the dining area awesome. A stroll through the palace in the winters... More

My husband is a birder. So we had planned a vacation to Keoladeo National Park.Just because it is situated in Rajasthan,I wanted a heritage stay.Laxmi Vilas provided exactly the same.Located absolutely at a stone's throw distance from the bird sanctuary, and about a 30 minutes drive to Fatehpur Sikri. We went during off season so there were not too many tourist.But... More

We had visited Bharatpur during off season. Despite that the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The ambience is like a palace, with palatial rooms, dining halls, verandahs, etc. Property is well maintained. Value for money. Overall a good experience.

This is a very nice and well managed hotel. The rooms in the new building are bigger than those in the original one but can be hot in summer. The old building is very stylish with a nice bar and court yard to sit outside. The restaurant in the new building is grand and blends in well. Pool and garden... More

Like a lot of people, the four of us stayed here to visit the Bird Sanctuary. The term 'faded grandeur' comes to mind. The whole place has photos and memorabilia from the tiger/elephant shooting era. Our room was very different. Pillars and a fountain at the foot of the bed! A rather old TV. Nice bar and courtyard. We had... More

This hotel was converted from a Palace in 1994. It is actually 2 huge buildings with a large swimming pool between the 2. Huge bedroom, beds and bathrooms. Our bedroom was off a courtyard. All public rooms lavishly decorated with intricate paintwork. Tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms and internet is R100 per hour (about £1). The restaurant... More
