Svaasa is a haven of calm in the middle of Amritsar. It has a very relaxed feel and the rooms are really pretty. It's good to get a massage and learn a bit about ayurveda when doing so - especially if you're travelling in the north and don't get time to visit the south of India. more

We were slightly nervouse due to mixed reviews, but had a very enjoyable two nights and were very comfortable. The rooms we saw were beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. We requested the river fish which is a speciality of Amritsar and this was cooked for us on the second night. The hotel will arrange sightseeing etc. if requested... more

Nothing was too much for the staff at Svaasa Spa. Initially we only planned on staying for a night - but we ended up staying for three. The two brothers who manage/ own this lovely boutique hotel really go out of their way to make you feel welcome (but most importantly; not overly smothered). The girls at the reception desk... more

Enjoyed the rooms and the ambience. However, the food was a bit bland, perhaps to accommodate the foreign tourists' tastes. Would definitely visit again. more

We stayed at this hotel as part of a wonderful 17 day private tour organised by Mr V P Singh of the Indian based company 'Legends and Palaces '. The service, location, and accommodation were delightful but the restaurant was a disappointment with its lack of choice. That said, we have no reservations in recommending it for it had great... more

Allegedly not available to Indian Nationals-maybe I'm wrong ,but that's what our driver told us (and our agent had to supply details of our UK ID's before acceptance of our booking !)& in 3 days stay did not see any Indian Nationals staying there, Had I realised that such a race bar applied I would have been circumspect about going!... more

Ranjit Svaasa lived up to my expectations. Its charming, well located (tucked away just off the main road), with a mix of clean, pretty but simply furnished rooms. The rooms upstairs are much nicer because of the sit out and balcony. The building is a heritage property and not one of those large concrete structures. Its family owned and managed.... more

The hotel rooms are very average by their price standards. But what is worse is the quality of service. While checking in we were given wrong breakfast timing. When we went by that time we were simply refused breakfast, quite rudely. We took our money back and checked out of the hotel. more

We stayed here for two nights and had a suite with a lovely outside seating area on the first floor. Room was spacious and comfortable but the solar powered shower was very capricious! If you weren't getting scalded, you were frozen and on the last morning, the water stopped altogether! The staff were really nice and helpful and there were... more

This is a small and quiet location, with a lovely calming atmosphere. Our guide, who took us to the golden temple, and the Wagh border, was excellent as was the driver. Both provided through the hotel as part of Svassa tours. The rooms have character, and it's worth paying a little extra for a suite if you prefer more space.... more
