Cheaper rooms in comparison to other spots in town but that is all you get. The rooms are dirty, the manager is grumpy and the staff couldn't be bothered working. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else to be honest.

We had a very good experience based mainly on the room selection. We were there for three days begining Sept 28th. Room was in the back corner with very nice bath with enclosed shower so no water all over the floor! Standard Indian electric water heater with reliable hot water. No mosquito but no windows either. Ceiling fans kept room... More

I realised this place wasn't up to much when I booked, so my expectations were low. Tourist Guest House didn't even live up to these low expectations. The first room I was offered backed onto the "restaurant" and wifi area. I declined. The second room looked better at first inspection, it was at least quieter, but I spent one night... More

The staff is nice but... The place is old, a thing that I like, but hot water was a mirage. It's full of mosquitos everywhere, no matter the mosquito nets. The food is really not good and quite expensive. The location is BAD. The internet is 100 per day but it's awesome at least. It;s not so clean, I mean... More

The Tourist guest house is a fine guest house with nice spacious room for a good price. The bed was pretty clean and they understand the western standards. The food is not so great. The quality is mediocre and it takes pretty long to prepare. The staff is nice and friendly and there is a good travelers atmosphere. It's a... More

We had read the reviews of previous guests here on tripadvisor, and had not planned on staying here, but our tuk-tuk driver dropped us here regardless and insisted it was the cheapest and cleanest in Amritsar. The rooms were very clean and huge with newly painted walls) and nice furniture in the larger rooms. The manager was very friendly and... More

This is an old building! At times quite run down (although when I stayed this year, every room was being redecorated). It is for artistic, creative types that love an old slice of India and a basic but poetic environment at a budget price. It is rare to find these homes in an India busy building the new and neglecting... More

Look, you're backpacking and on a budget, I get it, money is tight etc but if this is all you can afford then you should have saved another month at home before heading off. But if you insist? Bring your own sheets and leave your expectations at home. Wifi is available in the lobby at cost (so you can arrange... More

I stayed for 3 nights but should have looked elsewhere for accommodation. Quite far out of town, sandwiched between a fly over and the railway line, it's not exactly quiet. Rooms are used and abused; mine came complete with worms in the bathroom. I've stayed in lots of cheap places but this was awful. No communal space to meet other... More
