A wonderful stay in a very nice and pleasant Indian family. During all my travels in kerala, this place was the best place where I went , Tomy and his family are very welcoming and during 2 days , we belong to this family . The garden is beautiful and the food of the mother also, better than an Indian... More

We stayed at Rose Gardens for three nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tomy gave us a great tour around his garden as well as a nearby tea plantation. We ate wonderful meals each day. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful and lush surroundings. Although the homestay is not ideally well-located (it is not possible to see many nearby sights within... More

The welcome and service couldn't have been warmer. What a beautiful quiet forest location! Our room was huge and spotlessly clean. The room lead out onto a huge shared verandah with stunning panoramic views of the forest. Tomy, Rajee, and the boys made us feel very at home. We thoroughly enjoyed Tomy proudly showing us around his garden and it was... More

We stayed with Tomy, Rajee and their family in early January and what a delight it was, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rose Gardens. I emailed Tomy and asked if he could arrange a car to collect us from Alleppey which was done with ease, upon arrival we were greeted with the biggest warmest smiles, home grown coffee and... More

This was a lovely, friendly homestay, where I met enjoyable fellow travellers. Tomy, Rajee and their sons made me feel at home. Rajee served up delicious home-made meals. My room, although not fancy, was large and very clean. Tomy is rightfully very proud of his extensive garden full of beautiful flowers, herbal and coffee plants, only to name a few... More

We received a very warm welcome at Rose Gardens, Tomi and his family ( and driver Sabu) could not have been more helpful or kinder. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed their wonderful coffee and relaxing on our adjoining terrace. Unfortunately the road next the house is very busy and noisy, and it is not the idyllic situation... More

Spent two nights here at the beginning of March and would have loved to have stayed longer. Felt very well looked after by all of Tomy's family even from their youngest son. The rooms are very comfy and we had no problems with hot water. This homestay has a perfect balance between having your own privacy and feeling involved in... More

This is a tough one to review. Overall, we think this homestay represents very poor value for money and is emblematic of the lonely planet syndrome. Gushing review seems to beget gushing review, even where the underlying quality of the experience doesn't warrant the praise. Nobody is willing to tell the emperor he's not actually wearing any clothes. That's not... More

We spent four nights here in mid February having travelled from Fort Kochi. We experienced a very relaxing and comfortable time with this delightful family. Tomy and Rajeev are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. We had a lovely large room with a very large bathroom too. It was very private with a balcony overlooking Tomy's... More
