We stayed here for two nights. The homestay is a beautiful old villa surrounded by a rubber plantation. Jose and Daisy own and run the homestay along with the rubber plantation with much pomp and ceremony! They are both very friendly and welcoming and are eager to ensure that you have a good time while you are there. The rooms... More

Quiet, relaxing comfortable Homestead. Wonderful welcoming hosts. Fantastic food. Don't miss out on the plantation tour - so much interesting information. Please don't miss the cooking demonstration either! Such a peaceful retreat which should not be missed. Never realised that Jack Fruit could be cooked in so many different ways - delicious!

We spent our two night stay in the Bird's Nest room which was very comfortable, good shower room. Fascinating to see what a planter's house was like and we were not disappointed.Swinging in the hammocks or sitting under the splendid teak veranda was a very relaxing experience. Our hosts' hospitality was second to none, with a generous feast of home-cooked... More

We had a superb two days with Jose and Daisy in their lovely plantation house. From the moment we arrived until the time we left they could not have been more gracious hosts. In addition we had the pleasure of a cooking lesson from Daisy where we learnt some of the secrets of her recipes for the magnificent food which... More

After a rather uncomfortable ride up an unmade road we arrived at the estate where we were met by our host Jose. He made us very welcome to his home and with his wife made us very comfortable. We had the best food of our trip there and everything we were offered was fully explained and guidance given on what... More

We spent two nights here and had a really wonderful time. Jose and Daisy's beautiful house is set in a large plantation. Jose took us on an entertaining tour of the plantation and we saw many different spices, fruit and veg being grown. Daisy gave us a cooking lesson. Mealtimes were great - fantastic variety of food and great company... More

Arriving at the Mundackal Plantation Homestay we were warmly greeted by Jose and Daisy who made it quite clear that we were to make ourselves at home in their lovely estate house. Everything was perfect; the food was delicious and the room was spacious and comfortable. Jose kindly showed us around the property and increased our knowledge about the spices... More

The best bit about staying at Mundackal Plantation are your hosts. Jose and Daisy not only invite you into their home but give you an insight into their lives on a Keralan plantation. The food served is proper home cooking from a lady who cooks in her family tradition with recipes going back generations. There was lots of opportunities to... More

This was the first stop on the itinerary that our agent had prepared for us and, as we made our way up the unmade road through the rubber plantation, we wondered just what we had let ourselves in for. We need not have worried. The welcome offered by José and Daisy was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the two nights... More

We were very disappointed with our stay here. The rooms were very tired and musty. We had a birds nest room, which promised a balcony. But the balcony was not accessible and you could barely see out the windows, which were covered with dirty net curtains. The bathroom was dreary. Food was edible, but very average. We were quite surprised... More
