What is there to say about Kaivalyam that hasn't already been said. Run by an amazing couple who live and practice what they believe, the whole Kaivalyam experience is consistent and authentic. The 8 rooms are beautifully appointed looking out into the forest and although they are in a block they are so well positioned and insulated it would be... More

We enjoyed a very relaxing 3 night stay at Kaivalyam, staying 2 nights in one of the tree houses and one night in the luxury room. The highlight for us was the free yoga each morning, an incredibly beautiful, rounded session in a very beautiful, open space with amazing views. As the sun rose, it never failed to move us.... More

We (2 familes) stayed at Kaivalyam on the 14th & 15th of Aug after reading the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor & we werent disappointed at all. Mr Harish was spot on with his trademark hospitality & ensured we had an excellent stay. I had taken my car along & I did find the steep concrete road leading downhill to the... More

First of all perfectly fits what I had read in reviews. Got much more than I expected!! The Location: Its about 7km from munnar town, in a pocket road off the main road, the pocket road down to hotel is very steep and very difficult for a routine car/cab to climb up/down, but the Hotel provides complimentary jeep service up... After going through reviews on trip advisor which were very good, we chose this property. But as a traveller visiting Munnar for the first time, we were skeptical about which property to finally zero in. Thanks to all Trip Advisor users who had taken out time to write reviews which enabled us to close Kaivalyam. The best part about this... More

I had a couple of other places that i was reviewing and dint want to really change my option, however when I came across the reviews, one cant help but notice the wonderful comments. I called Harish, the owner who immediately helped confirm our stay without any hassles and also offered to have us do 1 night in the tree... More

The property is located near to pallivasal tea factory, about 7 kms from Munnar town. But the place is awesome as u'll find yourself in the midst of a spice plantation. The rooms are really good nice and tidy. We booked tree house for two days, despite having smaller area, room has an awesome view to offer. Food was delicious,... More

We hit munnar on the 5th of July and had selected Kaivalyam Retreat for a quiet peaceful vacation for a couple of days - a much needed break from the noisy din and chock-a-block traffic snarls of the IT Capital of India (Bangalore) and to generally get out of the drab monotony of a corporate life spent in meetings and...
