Visited Ambady estate in 1st week of April with my family including 2 kids of 6 yrs. It is situated 8 km from Munnar town up into a hill. You have to drive up a unpaved road for about a km to reach here but that justs adds to the charm and beauty of the place. The drive will lead... More

I loved this place. Munnar is beautiful, and Ambady Estate allows you to enjoy the natural beauty of the setting without a lot of distractions. I went on a hike through the plantation and the forest with staff, and it was an opportunity to appreciate the peace and beauty of this property. My cabin had everything I needed, with a... More

The hotel is close to Munnar. The cardamom plantations offer a splendid walk. The rooms are very nice and large. The service is extremely helpful and friendly. We experienced these people as very flexible and totally relaxed. We even took a walk on the main road to have some splendid views of the tea hills.

I was at my honeymoon All other places i got good experince but in Ambady it was quite disappointing. Staffs are not well maintained. when we saw a cockroach at toilet we just called for service guys they came and said its common.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our tour of Kerala. The location was enchanting with a lovely garden and a walk into the spice plantation. It's up a very steep winding single track road so bear this in mind if you're making your own way out and about. There are currently protestors at the bottom on the... More

With just eight individual semi-detached chalets this is an intimate place to stay just outside the tea growing centre of Munnar. Rooms are light, airy and clean though they could do with being spruced up a bit as the roller blinds had lost their strings and bits of skirting had fallen off the walls. Double doors open on to a... More

To get there takes a long and windy road. You need transport and as a foreigner, I'm not going to take on that challenge. That means a hire car with driver. On arrival for our pre booked stay we were warmly greeted with a beautiful cup off masala tea of their own blend. Check in was easy and we were... More

This place was one of the highlights of our trip. Fantastic location up a bumpy lane, large well equipped bungalows dotted on terraces around the estate. French doors open on to your own garden area, ideal to sit and soak up the sun, enjoy the tranquility and spot the plentiful bird life. We were extremely well looked after by the... More

The Ambady Estate is a short distance from Munnar, in the heart of the Kerala tea plantations .The accommodation is made up of self-contained bungalows scattered around the estate, each with its outside private seating area.the rooms are modern and well-designed. Buffet meals are served in the main house - it does have a liquor licence so you can have drinks... More

I did not stay at Ambady Estate so this is not a review of the hotel itself but of the reservation process and management attitude. I booked a room at Ambady Hotel through yatra.com and received an email booking confirmation. Shortly thereafter, however, I received a call from the manager of the hotel informing me that Ambady Hotel would not... More
