If you have never been to a military mess or a planter's bungalow in your life, you may feel wonderfully quaint and old world when you are here. But, if you'd rather feel Munnar, there are sure to be more comfortable, if not luxurious places out there at the price they charge you. Room service in the 'cottages' is painfully... More

We arrived here at Club,on one rainy afternoon, and waited for our booked rooms to get ready. This place is fascinating with 6 acres & about 5 km from Munnar main Town.Enroute by Hillsides,by a Stream,by some Tea plantations, and some Tall trees. The road leading to the Estate was freshly paved, and devoid of any Traffic, any Noise and any Pollution ! We were shown... More

We stayed in a Double room on the first floor in the main building . You also have the option of using the cottages, but they are a little distance away. Main building also houses the lounge, dining hall and the bar and overlooks the Golf course and gardens. So you are closer to everything. Nice laid back, club life.As this... More

My partner and I found this hotel amazing, but saying that it will not be for everyone. It is as if you have gone back a hundred years go. Neat dress is required which adds to the atmosphere. hunting pictures cover the walls of old english members. The staff are friendly and the manager is a true gentleman who goes... More

We stayed for 2 nights in January 2014. We were disappointed with our stay, and found this to be the least comfortable of all the places we stayed during a 3 week trip to India. The building had a faded, unwelcoming atmosphere despite its historical interest and beautiful setting. The food was mediocre with little choice. Service was adequate, but... More

The October 2013 edition of the Rough Guide highly recommended this place. It states 2500 INR per night (double room) and including full board. During check in the manager confirmed it costs us 2900 INR including full board. Why not )paying a bit extra, probably because of the high season we thought. Today we checked out and the manager denied... More

The rooms are very well equipped and leave nothing to be desired. The manager is extremely friendly efficient and hard working (ie 8 am to 10pm). The food has a decidedly old world English favour and is very good ( still remember the excellent bread and butter pudding) But there is no bar licence and hence no alcohol. It is... More

The High Range Club which is located amidst the beautiful city of Munnar. Far away from the madding crowd yet the perfect place as it is serene and self sufficient on its own. The rooms were very comfortable with the style of traditional British architecture. It faces magnificent Golf Course with a stream of water cutting right across. The food... More

The High Range Club is a legacy of the British times, which is struggling to exist. Yes, the location is peaceful and pretty. The Manager is very enthusiastic, friendly and ready to please, however, the service isn't worth mentioning. I have stayed at another ex British club in South India so I'm able to compare. The High Range Club is... More

Planter built, British readied stay in the middle of munnar. Located in a manner that the bazaar is 5 minutes away and known to all locals. The views are charming and it exudes an old world charm similar to Jill station clubs and guest houses. They have a set of rules but if you are up for eating outside, it... More
