Our room was damp smelling, the mattress was rock hard (not the typical Indian hard, harder!) the pillows were very thin and smelled damp. Apart from that the room was quite clean and the bathroom too. The towels provided were clean but the bed sheets needed a wash really. We had ants in our bathroom overnight and the view from the window was a smelly narrow alley. The location was great, this was probably the only redeeming feature. The staff at the desk were the minimum of polite and helpful - we asked if they did a laundry service, they don't but we weren't then told where we could get laundry done. There is a place 100m down the street that she must know about, just chose not to tell us. We met someone who was staying a 6 minute walk down the street in a chain hotel, he paid Rs.200 more than we did for a much nicer room which was annoying and made our room look like quite poor value. We paid Rs.1400/night through booking.com and we stayed in central Delhi for the same price so we had high expectations. They were not met!

This is a budget hotel, neatly maintained. The room & Toilet is clean and maintained. The reception is not very smart. They did not have the card payment option functional, not a very professional attire at reception. No Tea/Coffee/Snacks or Food option available. Preferable if one has to spend the night, with eventful day outside.

Stayed with family in their standard rooms (the only ones available when we booked). Clean, air-conditioned rooms, basic linen. Clean functional bathroom attached with hot water. Centrally located near the Big Church in Panjim. Wifi available. Good value for money.

I and my wife enjoyed the trip to Goa travelled by road from ( ideally a 3 days stay ). Bangalore left at midnight 2 Bangalore - hubli - belgaum - Goa panjim reach at 12 noon .. the hotel is budget neat room bathroom .. parked car municipal ground 20 rs for 24 hours near the immaculate church .. kamat veg hotel just 5 minutes walakable .. manilesh the hotel manager ph no : 0832 223 0092 very helpful and had some nice conversation the next day went to calangute which is 10-13 km .. baga and anjuna beach after watching hardly 5 km after calangute .. that north Goa .. next day went to south Goa thats Dona Paula, mirmar beach .. nothing like calangute and baga lots of shopping places .. the hotel manager shall also arrange boat cruise for 300 rs each person. which is nearby to the hotel walakable 15 - 20 minutes .. must see .. bikes are also available for rent .. so we I had car did not bother to take a bike .. and petrol is cheaper in Goa lower by 12 rs around 60 Rs In fact cheaper than diesel .. If u want a package tour which I found but did not use as I did not hav e time . Contact rocket holidays 7447347412/ 7019684767 it looked attractive .. After the trip was over used a different road panjim - darwad - hubli - Bangalore . Use the Google Map shortest route . Keep in mind it s a ghat road .. lots of twist but manageable .. have fun

It was the first time we were coming from Ratnagiri to Madgaon, i did not know how is Goa. only heard that it is a paradise for those who are crazy for fest and forigners and or for virgin beaches. We came to Madgaon stn by Netravati exp and it was 12 midnight. The entire platform was secluded except a lunatic foreigner who was throwing obscene gestures to every one who passed him. Having exited we found many cabs and autos. And finally settled with an auto and googled out an unknown Casa Paradiso. The Google showed it was 40 km away beside the old church of Panjim, the capital of Goa. the autowala agreed in 700 rs as he would have to come back alone on return at this point of time. It was a St Valentine night. Small houses were blinking dotted tuny bulbs of blessings. We passed on the roads which were breathing sighs of loneliness and of dark fantacy. As it was our first time in Goa, we were suscpicious as to the credibility of the old auto driver who was a sextogenerian muslim and drinking hard beverage after every 15 mnts. We googled and made it certain that we were heading towards the desired direction. Suddenly it crossed the bridge of a river estuary. After one long hour, we could see the luminiscent lights of the Panjim church showing us the white erect building. And reaching the door of the hotel gate, we saw it was deliberately kept ajar, in order to allow us the entrance. What a portuguese way of welcome!! It was a dismal narrow staircase ascending which we could reach the reception where one konkani gentleman welcomed us and told us that no food would be avlable, in stead we can go to near by George resturant and that only bisleri water would avlble for nominal charges and plastic plates and glass both stainless steel and that of glass and spoons, forks can be had free of cost. We took an air conditioning room for 1400 rs per day with a special clause of half day payment facility in case we check out b4 7 in the evening. We were demonstrated the room which contained very ordinary linen arrangement. It was on the 2nd floor with wooden ancient beam system. It was lower. The rest room was attached though. We took bath and slept. And thereafter spent three days over there. there are many features which are simply laughable. That for example ur articles are ur own responsibility if u leave them while out. Still it is my first love as i am an experimental traveller. Its juxtaposition with George which provides delectable sea foods for nominal rates. And the presence of the old church of Panjim is another glamour. Auto stand is also near by opposite the church.

I stayed on this hotel from 21st to 23rd-Nov.Senior citizens should avoid this hotel. One has to climb 17,stairs to reach first floor, another 12 to reach second floor. There is no bellboy facility .Guests have to carry their luggage. No restaurant ,so no food available there.Even for a cup of tea/coffee guests have to go out to nearby restaurants Bare minimum facility in this so-called hotel. In my opinion this hotel situated in a busy lane and has no parking space, cannot be called a hotel ,at best it is an ordinary guesthouse. It does not come even in one star category.

For those who prefer to stay at a budget and spend most of their money on travelling, sightseeing and food, Casa Paradiso is the perfect place in Panjim. In fact, for location alone this hotel could be a first choice even for mid-range travellers. Just read a few of the reviews and I find some of them extremely harsh. Regarding having to climb a set of stairs to reach the reception (hardly 9-10 steps), how would these people cope with 5 star rated hotels such as Broadway in Darjeeing? Steep set of stairs at Broadway and that too after a steep climb from the road itself. Regarding not having an elevator, com'on people. The pricing of this hotel screams "Budget". How many amenities do you expect at a budget hotel? An elevator, bell boys, swimming pool? Here is my side of the story, booked it via MakeMyTrip for 24th to 26th October and got a discounted price. Reached there, I found the staff very helpful and friendly (perhaps being friendly myself did the trick, after all they are also human beings). They did not have restaurant but there is a restaurant called "Cafe Prasad" right next door so no problems. I used it for morning tea and breakfast. Someone people said no WiFi or WiFi did not work. For me the WiFi worked great and had good speed. Someone also said Airtel network was not there, I was in room 202 and had full network. Maybe there are issues for other rooms. The room was quite spacious, bathroom was clean and had everything in order. Geyser worked so no complaints of hot water. They provided chilled filtered drinking water whenever asked for unlike some hotels where the daily cap is 1 or 2 bottles a day. Room had TV, a table and a chair, a wardrobe, bedside table, window AC and ceiling fan. Clean towels were provided. Bed sheet looked old and used but was thoroughly clean. Did not have itching or other problems at all. This hotel is located at a perfect location, 1 minute walking distance from Central Church and the heart of Panjim. Everything you need as a person is available there, a host of good restaurants, auto stands, pilot (bike taxi) stands, souvenir shops domino's and so on. It is 5 minutes walk to the riverside from the hotel where the cruises are located. This hotel has its own cruise although we did not avail it. Security was excellent as the main door closes at 11. If you arrive after that, ring the bell and door is opened for you. They were caring too as two Iranian girls were in trouble without much money and had to travel to Delhi. The hotel staff arranged for their train ticket and looked genuinely concerned. I docked 1 star only because the fan worked fine only at full speed and the AC has no cooling adjust control. It did not bother us as it was hot but can be an issue in colder weather. Someone said they saw lizards but we did not see any cockroaches, lizards and other insects during our stay. The hotel has its contacts for bike rentals. Rooms were thoroughly clean when we got in and they will clean it if you tell them. All in all a great experience. Will stay there again when I go to Panjim,

I went with my wife. the place is in the city center near Kamat hotel. but the room we got was on the roof and had an unusual shade near the AC. Overall the Room was ok. they did not serve anything. Very strict timings as well for everything, maybe it was due to December Rush.

I and my Family (2 Adults + 2 Teenage Sons) had booked this Hotel through the Owner directly. We reached the Hotel in the afternoon around 2.00 pm. First of all, there is no elevator in this Hotel. One has to tag along the luggage to the first floor where the reception is located. Asking my family to be in the Car, I went first to the Reception climbing steps. There was only one person in the reception. When I asked him to send a bell-boy, he politely said - Staff are at Lunch and we ourselves have to get the luggage!!! I lost my cool as I was on a vacation. No sooner we had checked in, the Reception man (!!!) asked me to make the full payment immediately. I said I will give it in a short-while, but he repeatedly kept on asking me for the money. Absolutely unfriendly hotel. There is no proper Staff. As the room was small, I had to change to another room which they call as a Suite Room. There was this chap who was working as a Bell-Boy / Housekeeping Staff. He spoke as if he was the Owner of the Hotel. Guys.... please avoid this Hotel. You cant' even get a Tea or Coffee as there is no provision inside. Boring Staff and not worth the price..... Will not recommend to anyone and will never visit again.... OLD QUAINT HOTEL....
