My husband and I stayed at Luna for 7 nights and it was breathtaking. Waking up every morning to the tranquil view of water, palm trees, waves, and some sailboats. Luna Beach Resort is like a tropical reserve paradise. The staff over the phone and in person were so helpful and accommodating. Also I would like to note that they... more

Nice pool. Terrible sand fleas (even in and around the pool). We rented a nice, spacious, and comfortable house at this resort and had a decent time, but something just seemed missing--at least for a place that cost this much. There was a certain sterility and coldness. After much thought, we decided that the place really seemed to lack a... more

Awesome dive boat and the ease of diving is outstanding. The resort is about a 10 minute walk to the West End and 20-30 minute walk to West Bay. Great location and very quiet. But the sand flies were so bad that you couldn't be outside for more than a minute without getting bit even with Deet bug spray on!... more

The Luna Beach Resort is an excellent place to stay in Roatan. The resort is isolated between West Bay and West End, but closer to West End. Beautiful jungle fauna and birds surround the area. There is about a 10 minute walk to the town of West End. There are restaurants, shops and bars on the strip. Room - Back... more

Alright, settle back and let me tell you about the Luna Beach Resort. It all starts with Debbie (the owner’s daughter living in Denver) who, unlike other people I have dealt with, makes signing up for your vacation “get-a-way” as easy and pleasant of an experienced as I have ever had. She gives you options and suggestions which fit exactly... more

Luna Beach's seclusion and great dive center, comfortable clean rooms and friendly staff combine to make this our choice of anywhere on the island we can stay. The fabulous West End, with many restaurants offering good food at reasonable prices, is a lovely 10-minute walk down the beach. Roatan is part of a third-world country, after all, and a traveler... more

This was by far the worst vacation ever. There is plenty of room for improvements in everything from the room decor to the quality of the food. We went into West End for most of our meals but the trip back to the resort in the evenings was difficult at best due to the lack of lighting. The beach was... more

I first entered the property from atop a hill where I observed panoramic views of the jungle and the beautiful private-beach dotted with cabanas. My comfortably furnished villa was large enough to accommodate a crowd. During my first stay in January of 2009, the staff catered an impromptu, birtyday-party for newly made friends who were guest at Luna Beach. Fully... more

We selected Luna Beach because it was secluded, yet you could walk to town. Our room was extremely comfortable and the dive shop was very professional. We never ate at the restaurant because it seemed dark and dreary compared to other places. The lobby, pool, restaurant area has very little ocean view. At night after we had eaten dinner in... more
