We stayed here a few years ago, we booked for 2 days and stayed for 3 weeks. It was absolute bliss, fantastic accommodation , great location. The double rooms were fabulous. The kitchen meant we could avail of the really really cheap lobster fresh from the boats. The town in general was so relaxed with good quality food or international... More

We stayed here for two weeks. It is about one minute walk to the main street and very close to our dive shop. The manager was very helpful. We used the kitchen a lot and it is full equipped even with drinking water. The price is good for the location and what they provided. There is also free DVD and... More

The Mariposa is in a PRIME location in Roatan, but we had a few problems with the management. First if all, we never saw any. We could NEVER find anyone to ask questions, refill our drinking water, give us toilet paper. It wasn't a huge deal but we didn't have any drinking water for almost 24 hours which was not... More

Hi Emily. I do apologize if you ran out of water or toilet paper. Housekeeping normally catches these things when they are in the rooms in the morning. We do provide free 5 gallon bottles of drinking water and a healthy supply of toilet paper. Our normal standard is one roll per person per day which we believe is a... More

I always enjoy my stay at the Mariposa Lodge, one of the best Honduras Boutique Hotels in the West End! The Hotel is located just a short walk up a side street from the main road. Great to be near the heart of West End with a nice choice of restaurants, dive shops, bars and small grocery stores. The grounds... More

After arriving on roatan and having somewhere set up that didn't turn out to be what we thought we went out looking for a new place to stay. As it was slow season many places had rooms which worked in our favor and after checking out a bunch of places in person we landed at Mariposa. As a travel agent... More

Home away from home, comfy, cozy, rustic. I stayed in room no. 1 which had a lot of windows and open-type concept, safe. No AC, but the ceiling fans were perfect along with the ocean breeze - I personally prefer the fresh air anyway. It's a 1 minute walk to the water. There are the local roosters which like to... My boyfriend and I booked for a couple of nights and ended up staying 2 weeks! We were doing our diving Certs at West End and thought we'd try this place and it turned out great. We stayed in the front 3 bedroom house, with 2 bathrooms and communal kitchen. As it's low season we ended up with the place... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in the 3 bed house at the front for 2 weeks and we're lucky enough to have no roommates for our entire stay. House to ourselves. A decent kitchen and showers were good, but the wifi was a bit weak at times but no major hassle. The beds were made up and cleaned daily, except... More

I stayed in Apt. 4 and my son and his girlfriend in adjoining Apt. 5 for a week in July, taking advantage of a half-price discount. The kitchens were well equipped and drinking/cooking water was included. The bedrooms were a little stuffy at night, but this was more than made up for by balconies which always seemed to have a... great place to stay you get way more for you money. lots of dive shops one block away. they will all store your gear. The hotel manager Jessie had great restaurant suggestions and travel tips. I felt like part of the Family. Stay here save your money to tip the boat crew. and buy local crafts it really helps out!
