We stayed with the Backpackers for 4 nights and it was great. We met some wonderful people and the owner and staff are incredibly sweet and helpful. Grounds are clean and pool was a wonderful way to cool down and hang with people. And the discount the local dive shop was a great plus too!

We decided to spend 2 nights in sandy bay before heading to west end to go diving. We'd booked in advance and arrived on the late afternoon ferry. When we arrived it was pretty much dark there were no lights on and no one around. We eventually found someone after we walked all the way through to the back of... More

Thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure why Cecilia wasn't waiting on the front porch when you arrived, as we normally have someone waiting there if a guest is expected. I'm happy that you appreciated the pool and grounds, and peacefulness of the location, even if it wasn't the best choice for you. Divers can go out with Octopus Divers,... More

This was our first time to Roatan. Underrated paradise, to say the least. We've been all over the world and Roatan was easily in our top five. If you're expecting your stay to include a beach chair for 8 hours and a waiter delivering you meals - stay in West Bay. If you want some adventure and a chance to... More

price matched the accommodations. Don't be expecting anything fancy. The dorm rooms were incredibly tiny but we were fortunate to be moved to a private room just off the kitchen which was a plus. You need to take a bus to get to west end. Best place to snorkel there is half-moon bay near the abandoned sailboat. You can swim... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. The back patio is slated to be tiled this year, as the coating that is on the cement has been peeling up. The waterfall does work, but most people find it noisy, and it washes a lot of leaves into the pool, so we usually just put it on if some... More

A friend and I stayed at Cecilia's hostel for two nights when visiting Roatan. It was an excellent experience. Cecilia was extremely responsive in the booking process and had a driver waiting for us and brought us to the grocery store and to her hotel for a very reasonable price. She was helpful in giving us the details to navigate... More

Loved this place. Great value stay in what is a pretty expensive location. The room we had was private in the hostel part of the property and had a lovely bathroom and well stocked kitchen for us to use. Nice communal area and even nicer community of people. Cecilia is super kind and gracious and made our very short stay... More

My husband and I stayed in a small apartment here for a week and really enjoyed our stay. We are always happy when we have a kitchen, and we did here, it definitely helps with budget. The apartment was a great space and even though we had to pay extra for AC we were very glad to have it, the... More

I had a blast at this hostel! It's located pretty close to everything and Cecilia is awesome. The people who stay at this hostel are what made it so great. It was a little dirty, but I didn't mind it given the location of Roatan and its surroundings. I would come back in a heartbeat should I visit Roatan again.

Planned to stay here for three nights but ended up staying for over 8 nights due to the excellent time I had at this hostel! The staff were exceptional and Cecelia made me feel welcome right away, giving me a tour of the lovely pool out back and the rooms! Stayed in several rooms throughout my stay, the dorm was... More

My boyfriend and I made a trip to Roatan by one week and we stayed at Roatan Backpackers Hostel in a share room :) we saved a lot of money and the hostel is in a good location, we could know Sandy Bay, West End and West Bay walking only! We made a lot of activities like dive, snorkel, see... More
