Stopped for a bite of lunch in this historic town. We were in a perfect spot to observe and enjoy the local culture as we had our lunch. The staff were friendly. The food was good and the price moderate. We observed a steady flow of foot traffic carrying their wares to and from, as well as those set up... More

I really loved this hotel though I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea! It's right in the centre of Elmina which is noisy, somewhat smelly but full of character! I loved the place! The views from the hotel are great. You can watch the fishermen, the local people selling their wares and generally the hustle and bustle of the... More

This hotel is right down by the harbour, which brings with it lots of smells and noise of course, but also gives it loads of character and atmosphere. We were greeted by Stephen, the manager, who could not have been more helpful and friendly. My friends had problems with their room, and though they never quite managed to resolve the... More

The Bridge House gives the most fantastic opportunity to imerse yourself in the atmosphere of Elmina. They have a small restaurant with an outdoor area where you can sit and relax with a beer and /or a meal and watch the fishing boats come in and out. The food was fantastic, in particular the Red Red and Black Star! Try... More

The Bridge House is in a great location with close proximity to the Elmina Fort and the colorful activities of local fishermen and their boats. From our windows and the outdoor sitting area, we were able to get great photos. We stayed on the third floor in Rooms 9 and changed to Room 10 when it became available. The rooms... More

The room was fairly clean, and the AC and fridge worked. The bed was giant with nice clean sheets. Breakfast was nice, but dinner wasn't that great as my fish (snapper) was quite dry. The bathroom could have been cleaner - think there was some fag ash on the windowsill and some cockroaches behind the mesh (between mesh and outer... More

I stayed here for one night and loved the proximity to the Elmina Castle. It is in a very busy area so if you need quiet this may not be for you. The restaurant was good and you can sit outdoors and see the fishing boats and get a great view of the castle. The staff was nice and extremely... More

My partner and I stayed here for a couple nights whilst travelling Ghana. We had a lovely time. The hotel is located right in the centre of Elmira opposite the castle. Which is lovely but can be a bit busy and full of locals wanting to sell you things We had just got off the plane and came straight here... More

It's a very nice place to stay if you want to stay right where everything happens. The busy fishermen sail by, the merchants passing by while we enjoy the activities and the views of the ocean and Elmina Castle. Friendly and helpful staff. Good opportunities to take a break at the pool at Coconut Beach ressort. We stayed there for... More

We stopped for lunch, not to spend the night. But it seemed like a clean place to rest, get out of the direct sun and refresh ourselves. The bathroom was clean, the drinks we had were nice and cold. We ate outside under a cover and had great views of people walking by. I had fried grouper, the best food... More
