The setting of this resort is right on the coast. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves of the Atlantic and access to a lovely beach is wonderful. Unfortunately the rooms are not as pleasant. The humidity and dampness in the rondavel huts are unbearable and I found it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The overall cleanliness... More

The fall of 2013, my self and a group from the United States completed a two week journey to the western country of Ghana Africa . Although the bulk of our journey was in three separate regions our host"Africa for the Africans" booked this resort as the centerpiece of the excursion. Good decision. As we were located between the prominent... More

First, let me say that I am writing this from both an emotional standpoint (my impression of the owner and her grand hospitality and extensive help in organizing events for us which is 5 stars) and from a practical, Western perspective regarding the quality of accommodations versus the price (which is between 2 and 3 stars). I am also comparing... More

Well worth it! The best food that I tasted and that's saying a lot! There is good food in Ghana everywhere, like New Orleans! The resort sits right on the Ocean, so you can't beat the view. Excellent view of the Elmina Slave Dungeons, some call it a castle.

en route back to Accra from a tour of Emina castle, we stopped for lunch and drinks, enjoying a refreshing break at this beautiful spot along the coast. there are beautiful rock formations lining the coastline and the restaurant sits perfectly on top of a hill giving an excellent view of the sea. We toured the small but powerful museum... More

We stayed for two nights at One Africa Guest House in Elmina. The hotel is nicely situated about 25 minutes walk from the city centre on small "cliffs" overlooking the ocean. The whole place was clean and nicely cared for by an immigrated US-American couple. The complex consists of 6 chalets (big round huts) and a main building. All across... More

The reason I choose this Guest House was the "holistic resort, health house the advertice in their web page... Well there was no holistic activities what so ever! No yoga, no meditacion, no rituals, no spa, no massages. Ok you could order a massage in advance which we did but the massaggist decided not to come without notice (may be... More

We happened on this place on a trip to the forts and national park. The little bungalows were lovely and I thought they were particularly clean and well looked after and had fluffy white towels. The grounds and seating areas were nice too. Having the sound of the sea right by is always nice and here it was particularly relaxing... More

A quaint guest house located midway between Elmina and Capecoast. Whilst it has great sea views the beach is rocky and not suitable for swimming. Twin rooms with fans (no AC) are either in chalets (75 GHS per night) or set back in a purpose built block (65 GHS per night). Rooms include mosquito nets for each bed and clean... More
