Stayed in one of the simple clean double rooms with hot showers. The breakfast was poor, cold by the time we got there and the restaurant in the evening served only average meals. Much of the menu unavailable. If you want to see the crocodiles then I'd suggest man ok Nguyen a visit fir this and staying elsewhere

i didnt get to see the hotel amenities, but took a tour to see the crocodiles and also the bird sanctuary, which was nice. it had a decent pool and restaurant to go and its a short walk from the ostrich farm, within driving distance of the monkey sanctuary and Kakum national park. Maybe next time

Stayed here for a school trip. I started out booked in the dorm room with my other classmates, but ended up getting my own room. The dorm room was hot and many of the fans didn't work. The bathroom was gross and the shower was outside. I was much happier with my double room, which was clean and efficient. The... More

There is little fear that Hans Botel will show up on anyone's list of best hotels. The rooms are small and plain, the food is fair to poor and the drinks watered down. However, until live crocodiles are allowed to wander freely among the guests at your nearby Hilton, Hans will have one over on them. You read that right.... More

Went here with work colleagues for lunch on a Sunday. The food was good but not spectacular. The service was OK too. What draws you to the place are the crocodiles in the pond by and around the restaurant. If you pay a bit, one of the staff will go and feed them. There is NO protection to keep the... More

After staying in Ghana for 3 weeks having showers from a bucket of cold water I was made up to have an actual shower with hot running water at Hans cottage. Although I would say the hotel was quite average overall (and probably wouldn't be enjoyable for someone who is used to 5* hotels), the beds were comfy and clean,... More

Firstly, after being in Ghana for 3 weeks with no running water, the mere fact Hans Botel had flushing toilets and a running shower already earned it near top marks. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed. The pool was clean and refreshing, in a nice setting. We... More

I have stayed in this hotel twice before with my family but this recent visit was the worst experience of my stay in Ghana. It's not the hotel itself but the one supervisor in the restaurant that made my breakfast experience like having a root canal! This woman supervisor comes sweeps the restaurant while people are having breakfast, does not... More

Spent the night here en route to Kakum National Park. The rooms are very basic (and cheap) but have a bed, a shower and a loo which all work. There is a very pleasant open sided public area for eating, drinking and lounging to watch the birds and crocodiles in the lake around which the Botel is built. There is... More
