We just returned from two nights at Biriwa Beach Hotel and it was a wonderful experience. Claudia and her staff were very attentive and helpful with any request we made. The location of the hotel was excellent, with beautiful views of the ocean from many vantage points. The pool was lovely and the rooms were very adequate and clean. The... More

Wonderful hotel with really relaxed atmosphere near Cape Coast. Run by Claudia to a fairly high standard. The menu is quite extensive but, more importantly, most of what it lists is available unlike many Ghanaian hotels. Rooms are comfortable and A/C very effective. Downside is the lack of water while the staff are cleaning the pool surround and inability to... More

Great view, great location, reasonable prices, very relaxing. The rooms are a little dated but not in any way that affects your enjoyment - they are a generous size with a comfortable bed. The pool is also nice. It's easy to get a tro-tro into Cape Coast if you want to see the castle. One thing to consider is that... More

Biriwa Beach Hotel is a jewel of a find and should not be missed. It has all the quality of a high end hotel without the exorbitant prices usually charged for much less appealing locations. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food is really well prepared in very hygienic conditions outside. The rooms are spacious, bright and... More

The rooms are comfortable and reasonably well appointed. The AC switch was not obvious, but it is there. As is a ceiling fan. The restaurant/bar is perfectly located overlooking the sea. Its not a 5-star resort, it doesn't claim to be. It's a small, well-run local hotel in an idyllic setting that offers enough creature comforts. We had a one... More

My husband and I when we want to leave Accra we always choose this hotel. Multiple reasons. We will never ever go anywhere else. This is where the locals go. A good reason is price and quality. If you want to swim in the ocean, it is a rocky shoreline of volcanic rock. My husband and I just find spots... More

We stayed in Biriwa Beach Resort for 4 nights. To our surprise, on the first day the swimming pool area was occupied by dozens of local youths who made a lot of noise and effectively did not allow the hotel guests to enjoy the facilities. We complained to the owner who explained that she allowed this to happen regularly on... More

We arrived late at night and struggled to locate the dark, small hotel sign and the dirt road exit off the main hi-way. We were shown to our room but the staff person neglected to turn on the AC before disappearing. I couldn't locate the AC switch or hotel staff. It was a sweltering night with little sleep. We planned... More

We spent two nights at Biriwa Beach Hotel; it is perfectly situated above a beautiful beach and surrounded by spectacular greenery. The hotel itself looks like it was built in the 70s both inside and out, nothing wrong with that, if a little out dated and slightly shabby in places. There is a dipping pool with some rather strange constructions... More
