A very nice hotel, only half an hour from Kakum National Park. Staff is very friendly and does serve breakfast even at five in the morning for birdwatchers. Rooms are clean and big enough, showers are better than in the rest of Ghana. There could be more variation on the menue for vegetarians.

Stayed here twice during our visit to Ghana. Rooms are variable. Our first had a large tub and shower and was spacious. The second had a shower only and was smaller, but it did have a deck. Rooms are clean and had good AC. Water pressure was good and there was hot water Service in the restaurant was good and... More

We stayed here for three nights together and then another night later in our 9 day birding trip with Ashanti African Tours. The rooms were clean and a decent size with air conditioning that worked. The bathrooms were also fine an clean with hot water. We had a family room, which had two bedrooms with double beds in each (which... More

We spent four nights at this lodge. The rooms were large and the air-conditioning worked well as also did the ceiling fans. Once the room had cooled off the fan was usually enough to keep one comfortable. The food was not much to write home about but they were providing a buffet meal for twelve of us on each occasion.... I stayed here with my mom and daughter for one night after a visit to Kakum Park. We stayed in the "family room" which consisted of two bedrooms with double beds (very firm mattresses--not for everyone), a small living room and kitchenette. The rooms were comfortable with air conditioning and hot showers. The price was not cheap but it was... More

We stayed with our group of 10 students for 1 night. Really close to the Kakum walk so ideal for that. The rooms were generally OK. One of our rooms had no toilet seat and lights that did not work. Response from staff was " you are only here for 1 night so it does not matter"! We had organised... More

My husband and I just returned from a bird watching tour of Ghana and of the many hotels we stayed in, we both agree that the Rainforest Lodge was our favorite. The grounds, common rooms and our room were all extremely clean. Our room was well outfitted and spacious with thick fluffy towels and a very comfortable bed - and... More

The Rainforest Lodge is exactly what it claims to be, a Lodge that is situated close to the rainforest. It`s a basic, no frills lodge that caters for folks that want to spend time in Kakum National Park during the day, then need accommodation at night. This is truly budget accommodation, but saying that, the rooms were a decent size,... More

I stayed at Rainforest lodge twice in the last month. The resort is very well located (10min drive from Kakum park and 30 min drive from Cape Coast) Its a great stop while you are visiting the rainforest area. There is a monkey sanctuary on the way to Kakum. The sanctuary is not exceptional but at least you can see... More

Rooms are very nice and updated. Grounds and paths are meticulous. Pool should be cleaned better, and be more inviting. Service staff were excellent although there was some confusion over the rooms requiring some shuffling and exchanging. Food was exceptional, lots to drink but no red wine??? very strange.
