We stayed at Brenu Beach on the way from Accra to the Western Region. The reviews were very good. We found that they were a little over-enthusiastic. The grounds are very large and well-appointed, although it was needing a bit of character. We felt that we could be anywhere. Brenu has a good beach with palm trees providing plenty of... More

This was the ultimate in laid back relaxation -- hammocks on the beach, unspoiled coast for miles north and south, kids coming by to sell and cut open fresh coconuts for 30 cents apiece. We paid about 300 cedis a night for a large, immaculately clean, air-conditioned, fully equipped bungalow with tabled veranda overlooking the ocean and a glorious breakfast... More

Set on a quiet beach with the bungalow style accommodations behind this is a most beautiful resort. The rooms are simple but clean. However the service is rather lackadaisical - as you might expect - but charming for it. The food is really pretty good as well - but don't hold your breath between order and arrival! All in all... As mentioned by other reviewers, the location is beautiful. A bit of a drive from Cape Coast and El Mina but worth it for the spacious grounds overlooking the beautiful, palm lined, beach!!! The room was excellent: plenty of space, clean, comfortable, functioning AC, hot water and good pressure in the bathroom. Lovely verandah in front of each room with... More

The beach and the location is truly beautiful. Other travelers have mentioned it, and it is true. Very isolated location, just a few sheep and villagers passing from time to time. Safety might be a concern but it is so isolated that I guess this is not an issue. The rooms are spotless and clean, have the necessary equipment (air... More

My wife and I decided to book 4 nights at Brenu Beach based on the reviews written here but, my goodness, what a mistake! After a long drive from Lome we arrived to find a very large party of children in the bar area - Obviously I'd guess this was a one-off. Agnes, the owner, instructed my wife not to... More

This resort is a bit far from cape coast (as many other reviewers have noted). After crossing Elmina, its a further 5 km drive on the main takoradi road, and then 6 kms on a bumpy road to the resort .. If you want a place to unwind and relax, there are few places better than brenu beach lodge in... More

What a surprise to find such a beautiful and comfortable resort along the coast near Cape Coast, Ghana!! Just be sure you realize it is not IN Cape Coast, but approx. 27 km away and in somewhat of a remote location. We got there after dark and were quite nervous about where our taxi driver was taking us!! But upon... More

It's with undiluted pleasure that I write about Brenu Beach Resort. It's like a hidden piece of paradise, in which you want to remain forever. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the nearby beach added a bit of magic to the setting. My group, which was hosted by Easy Track Ghana, spent last Sunday and Monday there, and enjoyed our... More

I went here to pamper myself and it was a marvellous stay. I spent two nights here. The room is large and very comfortable with air conditioning and a very nice, large shower. The beach was incredible - perfect for walking and playing in the waves. The food was really good, too, and there are several delicious vegetarian/vegan options. It... More
