I stayed here with my wife and two young children for two nights in October. The rooms were simple but clean and spacious (we had two rooms on the same floor), given the pricing we felt it was good value. The building itself is a nicely renovated traditional building and the location is hard to beat in the middle of... More

When we arrived the greeting was very friendly and we were personally guided to our room and offered a complimentary drink. In order that we could have a double room, we were upgraded to a superior room with a separate sitting area. The hotel rooms are in a "traditional" style, with dark wooden floors and beautiful furniture. For breakfast we... More

Everything, from the service to the rooms to the breakfast was brilliant. Relaxed, staff just attentive enough but not obtrusive and helped us out when we accidentally arrived a day early. Very comfortable beds, and a great location. You must try and stay here if you get the chance.

We enjoyed our stay overnight in the Villa St. Sofija. The building was nice, the room was nice, the location in the old town was great, the breakfast was good, and the view from the room was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful, even consulting and directing us to an obscure shop I wanted to find. The only downfall was... More

Based on many rave reviews around the web, we decided to stay at Villa Sofija during our vacation in Ohrid. This may be the reason that we are a bit disappointed with this hotel. Overall, it is good, but not excellent (as the reviews suggested), and there is definitely room for improvement. The staff were friendly (though not exceptionally so)... More

The reason I enjoyed it more than most was because I got upgraded to a suite, so I am a bit biased. It is nice conservatively decorated place and the suite had a private balcony, large lounge room and bedroom with ensuite. The reception staff spoke english and were helpful. The property is clean and well looked after and there... More

Villa St. Sofija is wonderfully located in the heart of the old town among the bars and restaurants and only a minute from the lake. As mentioned in other reviews, it is difficult to find among the cobbled, one-way streets and the parking is very limited. I parked by the port then walked around until I found it but they... More

We spent 2 nights at Villa St.Sofija on our trip to Greece. The villa is a beautiful and very clean property located in the old city centre. You can simply walk everywhere from the port to the historical sites. We had beautiful appartment with a balcony with nice view on the old city. We just missed an athmosphere at this... More

Very welcoming hotel situated next to St Sofia Church (rather tricky to find). Just a couple of minutes walk to the lake side with restaurants and bars nearby. Spacious and comfortable room with air conditioning which was wonderful. We had a double room with a cosy adjoining living room - very clean and inviting, with a plate full of delicious... More

Finding the Villa St. Sofija with a GPS is a nightmare. Once you finally find the place, you need to hope that their one parking space is free (it was for us). From there on in, the place is great. It was a private home until a couple of decades ago when it was remade into a hotel. There are... More
