People of the hotel - really great, very simple and likeable Room in the hotel- simple and friendly room, "desert Style", with no luxury, calm ambient, lot of dust but that's the all ambient in Siwa because of the location in the beginning of the Great Sand Sea Sahara. The hotel is highly recomendable comparing with the others in Siwa.... more

My brother and I stayed here for 3 days in Dec 2007. The resort is about 10 minutes away from town so it has a more relaxed, peaceful atmosphere (we had our own driver so it was not a problem). Unless you are traveling with a group and do not need the hotel to provide you with transportation into town (it's 5 km away) or to help you book sidetrips, do NOT stay here. Siwa Shali Resort offers a good quality accomodation to Siwa visitors. All rooms are spacious and furnished according to local culture. Rooms have mosquito nets (very important!) ceiling fan and air conditioning. There is also satellite TV: this can be a little annoying because the sound of TV in rooms near yours can easily disturb sleep! The resort is located... more
