Simply awesome! Lovely grounds, beautifully landscaped and filled with birds. Our room was incredible...spacious, king size bed, beautifully furnished, overlooking the twin volcanos and a lovely courtyard, a bathroom the size of most bedrooms, with a large walk in shower and separate bath tub...omg! Dinner in the restaurant was a tasty treat and we devoured everything...grilled trout, pasta and chef... More

We stayed for one night on our way north to Quito. It is a charming Hacienda with traditional buildings and surroundings. The room was of a good size, but the waste plumbing could do with some attention. The restaurant was busy and though the food service was good and the fare adequate, the wine chosen was not available (all sauvignon... More

We just stopped here for one night before catching the train as many others appear to do. The hotel is on the outskirts of Riobamba so you are likely to eat here as well. The layout is that of an old Spanish hacienda with lots of nooks and crannies decorated with old saddles and other trimmings. Lovely garden area with... More

We loved this place! We were on a private tour with Metropolitan Touring and they excelled themselves in their choice of this hacienda on the outskirts of Riobamba. Our room was huge, with big bay windows looking out over the gardens, there was a lounge area by the windows with a warm wood fire. The bed was king size, the... More

Arrived after a long day - there were insufficient towels in the room, it felt cold and damp, the bath took an age to run, only shampoo and soap, no conditioner or shower hat. They did come later to ask if we wanted the fire in the room lit. Dinner was pretty awful - tasteless soup, hard chicken and about... More

The hotel have several roosters running free around the gardens that wake up guests at 4am with their crows. It was impossible to sleep in this place. We spent 3 nights here but unless they cage those animals at night I will never go back to this hotel. We complain and the staff nicely smiled as if it was a... More

Stayed here as part of Metropolitan Tour. Large complex - several bus loads arrived so the place was full. Nice room with a comfortable bed but the shower was very temperamental. Noisy dogs near by barked frequently. lovely grounds to wander in. Evening meal was good, but early breakfast rather sparse.

In a suburb of Riobamba. When we arrived at 4pm the room wasn't ready, which was a bit tedious after a full day out. There were electricity problems, and we had a few short power cuts, the hotel has a generator which sorted that, but it was very loud. Fortunately the power was sorted before bed time, otherwise we'd have... More

Hacienda-like hotel, outside a city, with very nice rooms. Some of them are even with their own fireplace, what is very convenient as it can be very cold during nights. Breakfast is not the best I have seen, but can do it.

An interesting Hacienda – not least of which was because all its distributed rooms are named after mountains in Ecuador but without a site map it is a tad difficult to find anyone in particular! … once settled in my room It was good. Although booked in as a single I had two double beds, a table and 2 chairs... More
