In a suburb of Riobamba. When we arrived at 4pm the room wasn't ready, which was a bit tedious after a full day out. There were electricity problems, and we had a few short power cuts, the hotel has a generator which sorted that, but it was very loud. Fortunately the power was sorted before bed time, otherwise we'd have... More

Hacienda-like hotel, outside a city, with very nice rooms. Some of them are even with their own fireplace, what is very convenient as it can be very cold during nights. Breakfast is not the best I have seen, but can do it.

An interesting Hacienda – not least of which was because all its distributed rooms are named after mountains in Ecuador but without a site map it is a tad difficult to find anyone in particular! … once settled in my room It was good. Although booked in as a single I had two double beds, a table and 2 chairs... More

I stayed only one night at the Abraspungo Hacienda, but I wish I could have stayed one week there because it’s a wonderful place to relax. My huge room had a king-size bed, wooden table with two captain’s chairs, two night tables, a large fireplace (with no fire), a nice bathroom with a shower (no bathtub), and the usual amenities.... We spent 6 nights at Abraspungo in August 2014. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, set in lovely gardens. It felt very peaceful and relaxed. We stayed in two different rooms. Both were nice. Service was very good, the staff helped us to organise transfers and Sergio was very welcoming when we arrived at 2am after a very stressful drive. He... More

We stayed here after visiting Cotopaxi & then heading to the Devil's nose train the next morning. We loved our stay. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant both for dinner and the next morning for our early breakfast before leaving was excellent. It was a nice respite in the middle of a busy two days

Stayed here one night in June, 2014, as part of an organized tour. Didn't really get to enjoy the hotel as we got in late and left before dawn to catch the train. The food was good. Ate dinner and breakfast there. There is no heating other than fireplaces and you have to ask that a fire be built. It... More

This place is fully into a rural setting, but with some luxurious amenities. The room we got was large and well appointed. The surroundings are green pastures and very quiet at night. Will return when possible.

This is reputedly the best overnight stay for catching the popular Devil's Nose train, only about an hour and a half drive from the train terminal in Alausi. The "hacienda" appellation is not strictly accurate, however because this is by no means a plantation or farm, but rather is a modern hotel in the style of a hacienda. Rooms are... More

IF you are traveling south to ride "the Devil's Nose" train, this is the best place to overnight. The property is amazing - in its layout, design and comfort. For couples, good-sized rooms with comfortable beds and great showers!! For families, multi-bedded or even double bedrooms make this a lovely place to stay. There are amazing "little areas" for socializing... More
