Nice rooms, nice restaurant, nice people. Ther is no heat but you can mke your own fire in your room wich is really nice. The park of the hotel has a great flora. The only problem is the location, a little far from the center. But evrything else is good

What a little haven this place is! Located just above the city it is a quiet retreat that has you feeling like you stepped back in time. The cabins are cozy and quaint, the staff friendly and helpful, the grounds are blooming with beautiful Andean flowers and the breakfasts are simple yet tasty. I highly recommend this place for a... Being a former guinea pig farm (Ecuadorians still like to eat guinea pigs) the hotel still has kept its rural and simple ambience. It is located far away from the city. They offer dinner (delicious menu - no guinea pig) and breakfast. As the region is quite cold, rooms include a fireplace which will be fired during the evening by... More

We spent three wonderful nights in one of the garden cottages at Las Palmeras. Such a pretty place in an awesome location in the Andes. Accommodating and helpful staff, good food, reasonable prices. While we were at dinner a housekeeper would go into our cottage and light a fire in the fireplace and put two hot water bottles under the... More

This lush place has "Retreat" feeling to it , even though it is only a $3.00 cab ride form downtown Otavalo. And the extra nice touches add to the charm: hotwater bottle placed in the bed and fireplace lit for each guest after dinner. Takes the evening chill right out! Llamas grazing on the the expansive property are fun too.....but... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights while we visited Otavalo. We had our own little cottage, surrounded by lovely gardens. The cottage had a nice bedroom, a bathroom and a small lounge with a log fire. Each night they lit the fire in the cottage for us and we sat and drank a few red wines in... More

We stayed here during our first trip to Otavalo in April, 2014. It was late in the day when we arrived and the staff were very accommodating to make us feel welcome. They also gave us suggestions for the area and we had a fire in the fireplace in our cottage in the evening and even hot water bottles in... More

A friend & I came here for a delicious 3 course lunch after a visit to the Saturday markets in Otavalo. The food was amazing & the service perfect. We toured the beautiful grounds -- it's well worth a visit!

We have been coming to Las Palmeras since 2012 and to Otavalo and Jama on the coast since 2010. We had visited Otavalo a few times before and fell in love with the countryside and most of all the people. Then came the first time we stepped foot into Las Palmeras, WOW we just knew we were home! Ah Hacienda... More

After a few crazy days in Quito we went to Otavalo by bus and then taxi to Las Palmeras . It is such a lovely place. Very calming and serene yet walking distance to the market. Our room was a cute 1 bedroom cottage with it's own fireplace and at night they came in and lit it while we dined.... More
