I stayed here one night on my way out of Ecuador on Mar 14th. The place was clean and the staff were nice but aloof, the A/C worked fine in my room, the shower was hot and a lot of pressure. Never stayed for breakfast because I left at 3:15AM for the airport... well at 3:25AM. When I left I... More

On the way to Galapagos, our Lan flight stopped in Quito and I chose Romero to stay with my 2 sisters. We asked them for airport pick up, they sent us a neat taxi for 10 us. He came with a sign looking for us. The ride was short, and safe. Our host was young and polite. Our room was... More

Great location, clean room and bathroom, good breakfast and friendly staff ( especially the young woman with the baby). Would stay here again! We stayed in twin room with shared bathroom and actually we only had to share the bathroom with the staff. The traffic caused some noise but we didn't have and problems since we were sleeping with ear... More

Casa de Romero was a clean and comfortable place to stay my first night in Guayaquil. They arranged for a taxi pick up from the airport, and all went very smoothly. The building is very safe, and it is nice location for exploring the central area. Wifi access was good in the lobby.

This is a great place, the location is fantastic, safe and right in the middle of everything you want to do. There is a large supermarket over the road and you can walk to the waterfront, lighthouse, cathedral, iguana park, and main shopping area. The rooms are large with great air conditioning, powerful hot showers and comfy beds. It is... More

Stayed here twice during January. The hotel occupies two floors in a commercial building just a block from the main street. The rooms are plain but spacious. Noisy during rush hours. Decent breakfasts. The staff (young woman with a baby) was very friendly and helpful. We stayed a second time overnight and had a very early flight in the morning.... More

“We had to spend a night in Guayaquil, so booked this hotel. Clean, no frills hostel, relatively friendly staff and a decent breakfast. The building is very safe. You need a special key to first enter the building, then a card to enter the hotel on the 7th floor, and then your room. Not a lot of social atmosphere though.

Great place to stay with friendly staff, disappointed missed out on breakfast as early bus journey. Place is in prime location, next to safe Main Street you can walk down. Very secure. On 7th floor of building so good views. Greeted by friendly receptionist who took us up to the B&B, showed us around. Proceeded to give us a map... More

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Rooms were good sized, A/C worked , lots of hot water, breakfast was better than average. It seems to be in a commercial building with some offices, small businesses and rooms on various floors of the building

I was treated like royalty during my 9-day stay here after having had some minor surgery. They could not do more for me. The hostel is in the middle of everything, across the street from a supermarket, near all kinds of public transportation and all that downtown Guayaquil has to offer. Yes, you're downtown so all the noise of the... More
