This place was awesome. The staff were very friendly and had many recommendations. The breakfast was good - toast and eggs with different jams. The rooms were nice with AC and a great shower (especially coming from 1 month in Peru). There was also a kitchen which was we used to prepare dinner one night. A large grocery store was... More

An apartment right in the center of Guayaquil, close to the Malecon. You can walk towards the colourful colonial neighbourhood Las Penas, its just a 20 min walk. The reception of the Casa is on another floor than the apartment, you get a key for the building enterance. Really nice people work there, they sell excellent unique trendy t-shirts. They... More

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, though bathroom without window/aircon leads to mould, breakfast ok. Located very central. Windows are thin and Guayaquil is a loud city. Even at night... For an overnight stay it's quite ok.

I stayed there during in the last days of August, 2014 and another night after returning from Santa Cruz. Upon booking my room I received an email from the hostel offering the airport pick up - take it! It will save you time and headaches and you will be perfectly safe. The hotel is clean, the staff goes out of... More

OK for overnight. Very near the boardwalk, which is a nice place to spend some time. Room and bathroom needed upgrade. Staff was friendly. They arrange for a trusted taxi driver to pick us up at 3:00 am and even accompanied us down the building to the cab.

We were on our way to Cuenca and just needed to rest after very late arrival in Guayaquil. Our driver who came from Cuenca had a hard time finding this hotel as it is a part of a regular business/apartment building and doesn't look like a hotel at all. There is a very small sign on the wall that couldn't... More

I stayed here one night on my way out of Ecuador on Mar 14th. The place was clean and the staff were nice but aloof, the A/C worked fine in my room, the shower was hot and a lot of pressure. Never stayed for breakfast because I left at 3:15AM for the airport... well at 3:25AM. When I left I... More

On the way to Galapagos, our Lan flight stopped in Quito and I chose Romero to stay with my 2 sisters. We asked them for airport pick up, they sent us a neat taxi for 10 us. He came with a sign looking for us. The ride was short, and safe. Our host was young and polite. Our room was... More

Great location, clean room and bathroom, good breakfast and friendly staff ( especially the young woman with the baby). Would stay here again! We stayed in twin room with shared bathroom and actually we only had to share the bathroom with the staff. The traffic caused some noise but we didn't have and problems since we were sleeping with ear... More

Casa de Romero was a clean and comfortable place to stay my first night in Guayaquil. They arranged for a taxi pick up from the airport, and all went very smoothly. The building is very safe, and it is nice location for exploring the central area. Wifi access was good in the lobby.
