My wife and I stayed overnight part of a vacation package. We are sorry that we could not stay longer. The staff were amazing, rooms clean and spacious. When was it the last time you stayed in a hotel that had in house doctor, free medicare? AMAZING..... Excellent hotel.

We stayed at the Oro Verde for one night after completion of our Silversea Cruise to the Galapagos. We were pleasantly surprised about this hotel. While the check in was a bit complicated (we were still travelling with Silversea) we nevertheless enjoyed every minute at the hotel. Thanks to our LHW membership we were upgraded to a very large suite.... More

Booked by Silver Sea Cruise Line for our post cruise stay, another great choice! The English speaking staff welcomed us in a professional, friendly and very helpful maner. The hotel is located in the middle of town, close to the Cathedral, the Malecon and some downtown attractions. Hotel security advised us that during the day it's safe to walk around... More

Compared to other hotels in Guayaquil this one is one of the best. The rooms were modern, spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom had a very good shower and very functional. I was impressed by the quality of the bed and furniture. The assortment of wines in the bar was quite impressive. The food in the restaurants was delicious. If... More

Our tour booked us in to this hotel prior to flying to the Galapagos. The hotel van and driver met us at the airport and drove us to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities. We appreciated the complementary water in the mini fridge. We had lunch in the deli---the food was good and fresh.... More

Due to altitude problems we opted to fly into Guayaquil instead of the popular Quito as our starting point for the Galapagos. The hotel shuttle met us at the airport as soon as we had gathered our luggage (which was great because our flight was not on time) and then we had a quick trip to the heart of Guayaquil.... More

We had two nights here, one before going on to the Galapogos Islands and one on our return before flying back to England. It was a real treat! The beds were super comfortable and the rooms air conditioned with minimal noise. The shower was delightful! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and very helpful. We had a problem in... Our tour operator booked this hotel for a night prior to flying to The Galapagos Islands. It was close to The Cathedral to the beautiful park and all downtown attractions. The hotel was stunning, the amenities first class. I ate in the delicatessen and the food was fabulous as was the sumptuous breakfast in the hotel, the choice of items... More

My spouse and I were booked here by the lodge we would be staying with while in the Galapagos Islands. They booked us for one night on our way to Galapagos and we added two nights on our way back. And we were very glad this was the hotel. Upon arrival for our first stay we were informed that the... More

Like most reviewers we stayed for a few nights after visiting the Galapagos. It is the best place to stay in Guayaquil. Well located and only a twenty minute walk to the fabulous riverside park. The breakfast was the best I have had including Turkey on thanksgiving! The rooms are large and have been refurbished but are a little dark.... More
