First note; there are renovation works at the reception area and this has made the reception area less appealing. Beyond there are works at one of the restaurants but these do no affect clients. The strongest suit of Ihusi is its beautiful location and wonderful grounds. Lots of lush gardens; a nice pool and multiple inviting areas for a drink... More

You will enjoy your stay at Hotel Ihusi. The staff attend to every detail. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The landscaping is impressive. There is a nice pool, a well equipped gym and tennis courts. Best of all are the views of beautiful Lake Kivu.

I stayed there for 3 nights I had a room in the main building with not much of a view... but room was ok and quiet. The hotel is very well located on the shore of the lake and it is very nice to walk around or sit for a drink looking at the lake. Dinner was good with a... More

The best hotel is town is definitely NOT this one. Linda and Kivu lodge are much more comfortable. Got clothes stolen from my room, when complaining about it the reception insinuated that I had lost my clothes myself. I had locked everything in my suitcases except these clothes that I had worn the previous day. They broke the wheel of... More

I'm sure this is the best hotel in Goma. The hotel located on the bank of the Lake Kivu. Spectacular view and tropical nature are strong points. But staff...vere-very-very slow... but friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. But there is a big minus! European food is a weak point. I advice you order local cuisine:fish Tilapia is the best. And... More

Ihusi has a great location. It is in walking distance from the Rwanda/DRC border (so don't look for a taxi), and it is located along (and in parts, over) Lake Kivu. It has a beautiful setting with gardens, outdoor eating/drinking areas, a pool (that I didn't try), and plenty of rooms and conference areas. One drawback is the large number... More

Was in Goma for a business trip looking for office and residential properties and was booked at the hotel. I was a bit skeptical at first but once we all checked into our rooms three of us had lake view rooms and one opted to upgrade to a larger room. My room was perfect with a beautiful view of lake... Overall my experience was pretty good; the internet was surprisingly strong and consistent (with a few blips here and there), the bed was good, power was very consistent, and the staff were helpful. The breakfast is not that great, but it's very convenient to the border and gets the job done.

Considering the location and the city with two active volcanos, the state of overall development, I rate this hotel at 3, however if international standards are applied this hotel will not exceed the rate of two. True view on lake Kivu is great, but that is it. Breakfast is nothing exceptional at all, rooms wide true but basic.

when travelling to the DRC, particularly in the east region, most of the travellers do apprehend to cross the border, as I need to accomodate and organise tours, I always advise the best option in the region. Ihusi hotel is a top reference due to be close to the border. Ihusi is build on pillars that are in the lake... More
