This is a stunning hotel but....our tour operator sold it as 'good for couples'. This is definately NOT a couples hotel. We have stayed in family hotels that did not have as many children. The pool was extremely noisy, and on one occasion a troup of children ran round each pool, diving and racing round unchecked by parents or staff.... More

Hotel Lone has a lot going for it but there are a few things they’ve got wrong. The design is certainly striking and first impressions are very positive but then the drawbacks start to emerge. First and foremost is the open space that stretches from the bottom to the top floor at the centre of the building. The bright airy... More

Very good but it's a little strange to stay at a nice (expensive) hotel... Then to pop into town and only have to spend £40 for a meal, drinks etc for a family of four. The resort and town is great... I'm not sure if this hotel makes such a difference due to its expense. Next time I think we... More

We are just back from 17 nights in this wonderful hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were unbelievably, friendly, helpful and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. If you asked for something it was there instantly. They do everything humanly possible to make your stay pleasant. The hotel is stunning, a work of art.The beds are so comfortable... More

We stayed 4 nights here. We were treated very nicely by the staff, restaurant and breakfast was great. The cove and park that it's located on is spectacular. So why a 2? Because we were up-sold something we couldn't use. I called in to the reservation line to inquire about a regular double room as kayak/booking were strangely expensive. They... More

Dear jbed81, thank you for staying with us and for posting your review. Glad that you overall like our hotel, but we are really sorry that one missunderstanding didn't make your holidays as nice as they could have been. We apologize for the uncomplete information regarding our jazz rooms. During periods in pre and post season we have a lot... More

I have been to Croatia many times, since my wife is from Croatia, but this was one of the best experiences we have had! I have to say that Americans are spoiled and very hard to please but the whole staff surpassed our expectations! We stayed in a jazz room with a jacuzzi overlooking the park. If you can afford... One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to as for the design. Even the standard rooms are beautiful and big, however with no view on the pool/beach, but with view on the backside of the hotel. Very friendly staff. L restaurant very good and in a nice setting. Good location, because only 10 to 15 minute walk... More

First impression: When we entered Lone hotel after spending a week in an apartment in Krk we thought: "Yes, now we are at the right place to be". And indeed the hotel is very nice, the rooms are too and for us they were also spacey (especially as we had (travelling with two kids) two rooms connected to each other,... More

My husband heard Wayne Hemmingway, the design guru, rave about this hotel on Radio 4 and so looked it up. We'd always wanted to visit Croatia and so booked ourselves in for a week at the beginning of August. We arrived very late after a delayed flight, but were still stunned as we walked into the hotel and saw the... More

Rooms We arrived to the impressing sight of Hotel Lone, and felt overwhelmed with the consistent minimalistic design, from the beautiful yacht-inspired architecture to the visual identity on signage and menucards. The room was big and in good condition, clean and nice. There was roses on the bed and in the bath top (We wrote that this would be our... More
