We returned from Croatia earlier this week after a fortnight at the Amfora Hotel. The holiday was terrific. Like everyone else has said a fridge is needed in the room if you want to keep medication or drinks cool but the room we had overlooked the sea and was adequate for us. Yes the rooms are a little old fashioned... More

The Amfora is described as small and friendly and that is exactly what it is,don't expect any fancy food or spacious luxury rooms, the breakfast and evening meals are ok ( and if you don't see anything you like the cost of meals in the restaurants are really good) the rooms could be a little bit better,a fridge and shower gel... Lonely Planet suggest this is the hotel with character, well if they mean by that a genuinely excellent holiday on all counts they are right. We booked through Thomsons. Nested on a harbour bay rooms either have a harbour sea view or a car park view, either one don't be too dismayed. We didn;t pay as much as the sea... More

I was in that hotel two nights althouth that was not the first time there. The location in really good, 2 minutes or less and you can be in the center and beach and i suggest room with seaview and balcony to see all the Rabac port. The room not so updated, no wi-fi, no fridge, no shampoo in bath.... More

OK, the not so good points... there is no getting away that the holiday is frankly dated and in places a bit worn, from the common areas to the bed rooms. It is not a place I'd like to spend a week or two weeks in if I'm being honest but for the one night stay in mid September I... More

The hotel is tired and appeared well worn. A shame, really, because it is in a great spot and our room overlooking the sea front and harbour was really nice. Nice big double bed and plenty of hanging space. No fridge, though, and no light on the large balcony. There was a little kettle and a couple of plastic vacuum... More

Arrived on the 20th August for a 2 weeks holiday. It was our first trip to Croatia but definitely not our last. Check in was efficient and we were asked if we needed help with the luggage. Our room was overlooking the car park on the 2cnd floor (the top) which was ok but after 5 nights decided to move... More

A true gem! This small hotel is not much to look at from the outside, but once inside you start to warm to the place immediately! the Staff just can't do enough for you, and no matter what you ask they will do their very best to help. The Hotel is Clean, so was the Room we had, The food... More

It's not the most attractive hotel but get a room with a sea view and you won't be disappointed. The location's great -close to harbour, bars, cafe and a small supermarket (very useful as the rooms don't have fridges). The staff are really friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious. The safety deposit boxes are very reasonable to hire... More

I'm going to start with the positives: - Lovely location - Excellent staff, friendly and extremely hard-working - Rooms kept very clean, nice to have clean towels every day and bedding change regularly - Very quiet, most days I had the pool to myself! - Breakfast, good choices (if you are expecting an English fry-up, you should try Blackpool!!) -...
