Star rating in brochures is affected by lack of aircon and concrete architecture. Don't be put off though. The pool area is lovely, the service is excellent and the reps eat here because the food is so good (loads of choice and all excellent). We went with Thomson and had an excellent holiday. We read the reviews here first and... More

We have just come back after such a relaxing holiday staying at Hotel Pical. The hotel itself is extremely clean, the food is superb (we were staying half board) and being a vegetarian I was able to eat a variety of different dishes. Yes the rooms need updating, but we were only sleeping in them so they didn't need to... More

This hotel is scheduled for a refurb to be completed in 2016 and that can't come soon enough. The rooms are nasty and old. You have to reach up over 2.5 feet to climb into the tub that has no water pressure and a narrow bottom and conversely a bed that sits on the floor. My room smelled like onions.... More

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Pical from the 10th to 24th July 2012. then again 9th July to 23rd 2013 and are returning there this year. Before I start the review proper I would like to add a bit about what you should (or should not expect.) We have been to many 4 star hotels in Europe... More

Had a great holiday here in September, despite the storms! Which were spectacular to watch from our sea view room, even a small tornado in the bay. Yes the rooms are a bit tired but everyone says that so didn't expect any different! The hotel was very clean, food was great, staff very helpful and friendly. Located in a fantastic... More

Building itself is rather tired looking ~ But hotel stay itself was very relaxing. Lovely local walks, close to beach and lots of activities going on at the beach for those who don't want to stray far. A lovely place for all ages.

Stayed at the Pical for 10 nights, the staff and food were exceptional, but the hotel is badly in need of refurbishment. The communal areas, that being the restaurant, poolside eatery, reception area and bar are spotlessly clean but the rest of the hotel ie :- the bedrooms and hallways let this hotel down badly ( plus no air conditioning... The best things about this hotel were the food, which was excellent, the staff, also excellent and the location, again very, very good. The reason for it's 3* rating is surely the unappealing look of the place both inside and out. We were really disappointed with our room. It was very small and outdated. However we could not fault the cleanliness.... More
