We were warned this is an old Soviet era hotel so we did not expect a five star. It is adequate, and they manage all the tour groups well. Our group was all on one floor and we laughed about how it felt like being in an old dormitory again. I enjoyed the view and hearing the falls from our... More

I had no complaints with this hotel. It is extremely busy. I counted about a dozen tour buses but the rooms were quiet. There were huge crowds for both breakfast and dinner but the breakfast buffet lines moved quickly and there was plenty of food. The hotel uses the old-fashioned huge key system so just remember to leave your key... More

We spent two nights at this hotel so we could visit the National Park and Lakes. The hotel is in a great location for that purpose. The hotel itself is agin but we consider it very satisfactory. We have no complaints at all. The Restaurant staff were excellent. The food was good and prices were reasonable. although the rooms were... More

The hotel is easy to locate using an old-fashioned road atlas and plenty parking is available at the front door despite the large number of tour buses in evidence. Reception was friendly and helpful. Our room with balcony had a beautiful view of the woodland surrounding the lake and the area was very peaceful despite the large number of people... More

We stayed here as part of a tour group. The best thing about this hotel is its location - just a short distance from the lakes and trails. The hotel itself has seen better days. Our room, which was on the ground floor, was tiny, with tiny twin beds and a tiny shower stall in which even an average-sized person... More

This hotel is really ideal, if you wish to visit the National Park, which most, if not all the guests will do. You will be right at the steps of the park and need not to take any further transport. When we learned that this hotel is one of the few State hotels left in Croatia, we were somewhat sceptical,... More

Great location, but with no competition. This hotel needs renovation/maintenance badly; eg. shower screen did not cover area where the shower hung; no plug for bath tub; "hose" to the shower head was broken allowing the hose to kink; bath drain outflow did not keep up with shower inflow; leaked water from shower soon spread across the floor and did... Location, location, location. Yeah. the rooms are a bit tired, but you really could not ask for a better location than this hotel, located right on the rim of the park. The rooms are dated - ours had a single and a double bed with a balcony - you could hear the water from the waterfalls (but could not see... More

All other reviews speak to the basics. So I will touch on some specifics. The location is off by 2k in the TA Map and my iPhone map, but u get close enough and can find it. In early October on Thursday night they are booked and packed full with tour buses. Good for them, but that means they are... More

This place reminded me of the typical very basic 'soviet' hotels that I've encountered in other countries. It is a large sprawling place however the room was very small and basic. The breakfast was quite good however the dinner was average hostel type fare. Fortunately it is only a short walk to the National park ticket office to go and... More
