This place feels like a soviet-era interpretation of an art-deco spa. You can imagine it being frequented by the middle ranking bureaucrats of Tito's communist Yugoslavia. Overall it's OK. It's close to the Lakes, the few other options nearby don't look any different and if you're there then it's to look at the Lakes not to stay indoors. It's clean,... More

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It takes just a few minutes to walk down to the park entrance. If you are staying at the hotel you only have to pay the park entrance for the first day (just make sure to get the validation from the hotel for subsequent days as they will ask for it... More

The only reason for staying here was to visit the park and it is a fine hotel for that purpose. The room was big and comfortable. The breakfast and WiFi are good. We had dinner in the restaurant and while the surroundings are pretty flash, the meal was average and the service stern. For example there was no flexibility allowed... More

Much has been made of the somewhat delapidated state of the hotel and I won't disagree. Rooms are very basic but clean. Staff are not exactly ebullient, but effective. There is some interesting modernist architecture to admire if you have an interest in that side of things. No pool or other mod cons. An evening aperitif in the bar or... More

This place needs to be overhauled. 1972 called and wants the bedspread back. Dirty carpet tiles, air conditioner did not work AT ALL and the rooms get stifling hot. We got back late afternoon and opened the windows desperate for the breeze but with no screens all sorts of bugs flew in. And there is no elevator and stairs everywhere.... More

We Stayed 2 Nights During A Spell Of very Hot Weather. The Room Was Quite Basic While Large And The Receotion And Restaurant Areas Very Pleasant. But There Was No Aircon Anywhere In The Building Which Would Have Been Appreciated After Walking For 6 Hours On A 34 Degree Day. The Staff Were Very Pleasant And The Lakes Are Definitely... More

We were booked here by our travel agent - and she told us ahead of time not to expect much. The locate is super convenient to the park entrance - that's the plus point. Otherwise, it's a time warp and not in a good way. No air-conditioning , windows that open but have no screens, lunch and dinner that include... More

Comfortable and friendly hotel, and well located for entrance to the park, but could do with improving its dining options. We found very little restaurant choice outside the hotel so ended up eating in the hotel dining room twice. The first night the food was distinctly average, on the second night chose badly and had an inedible risotto.

We were pleasantly surprised when we entered our superior room. It was a very comfortable suite with an entrance lobby off which there was a powder room. The main suite was an open bedroom - sitting room divided by a bar on which sat the tv. We overlooked a wonderful forest with glimpses of the lake in the distance. Outside... More

Everything in the hotel appears to be in old fashion – its decoration, furniture, and even the receptionists and waiters in the restaurant. The reception needed to keep our passport for quite a while for registration. We had our late lunch in the hotel’s restaurant. All seemed to be in slow motion like in a Communist country. The pasta and... More
