We really enjoyed our stay at Plitvice. Most hotels in the Plitvice Lakes area are fairly pricey, this being no exception. The only rooms left were superior, which we took, it was huge, with a settee and TV area. We stayed here as part of a Rick Steves tour. This hotel seems frozen in time... appearing very 1950s or 1960s, but it was fun (and I liked the look of it all). It reminds me of a hotel from the communist era, but it's very functional and in a good location. There are lots of steps to climb, and no elevator, so be warned. The food is decent, good enough! more

We stayed two nights in the Plitvice Hotel late June. The room was big very clean and functional, but unfortunately there was no airconditioning and the temperature was almost 30 degrees. more
